A Classical String in Lifshitz-Vaidya Geometry
We study the time evolution of the expectation value of a rectangular Wilson
loop in strongly anisotropic time-dependent plasma using gauge-gravity duality.
The corresponding gravity theory is given by describing time evolution of a
classical string in the Lifshitz-Vaidya background. We show that the
expectation value of the Wilson loop oscillates about the value of the static
potential with the same parameters after the energy injection is over. We
discuss how the amplitude and frequency of the oscillation depend on the
parameters of the theory. In particular, by raising the anisotropy parameter,
we observe that the amplitude and frequency of the oscillation increase.Comment: 19 pages, 5 figure
Quantum Einstein's Equations and Constraints Algebra
In this paper we shall address this problem: Is quantum gravity constraints
algebra closed and what are the quantum Einstein equations. We shall
investigate this problem in the de-Broglie--Bohm quantum theory framework. It
is shown that the constraint algebra is weakly closed and the quantum
Einstein's equations are derived.Comment: 13 pages, No figure, RevTeX. To appear in Pramana J. Phys., 200

Juxtaposition of Women, Culture, and Nature in Alice Walker's Possessing the Secret of Joy
The present paper focuses on the tradition of women's circumsicion in the African tribe of Olinkan in Alice Walker's Possesing the Secret of Joy. The Olinkans are asked by the white settlers to stop women's mutilation, but Olinkan men continue this custom stealthily to ensure their patriarchial dominance. This novel is a complicated juxtaposition of two different types of oppression: one by White male colonizers over an African native land, and the other one by the native Olinkan men over native women. In this juxtaposition women and land are both victims exploited and manipulated by men, no matter Black or White. This novel is also seen as a fertile ground to analyze the dual domination of both nature and women by the Olinkan men and White colonizers who are both trying to impose their androcentric rules that are created to dominate women and land, respectively
Mathematical aspects of intertwining operators: the role of Riesz bases
In this paper we continue our analysis of intertwining relations for both
self-adjoint and not self-adjoint operators. In particular, in this last
situation, we discuss the connection with pseudo-hermitian quantum mechanics
and the role of Riesz bases.Comment: Journal of Physics A, in pres
A comparative Between the Effects of Glycyrrhiza glabra Roots Extract and Pioglitazone on Induced Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome in Rats.
Study was designed to make comparison between effect of pioglitazone and Glycyrrhiza glabra extract for controlling poly cystic ovaries induced in the rats. (0.5 mg/kg) of Letrazole for 21 days was given to induce poly cystic ovaries. Thirty five rats were alienated into five groups: Group one (T1) left as control, group two (T2) was induced and handled with distilled water, group three (T3) was induced and handled with (300 mg /kg) of Glycyrrhiza glabra extract, group four (T4) was induced and treated with (20 mg/kg) body weight of piogiltazone, group five (T5) was induced and handled with (10mg/kg.) of piogiltazone and 150mg/kg of Glycyrrhiza glabra extract. The oral administration of letrazole to rats caused prolong the length of hours in proestrus, metaestrus and diestrus phases, in addition to prolong in days of estrous cycle and gradual significant decrease in hours of estrus phase until to disappear in cycle four. The length estrous cycle, prostrus, metaestrus and diestrus phases in T3, T4 and T5 revealed a statistical reduce when compared with T2 and no significant variation when compared with T1 in cycle five. The length of estrus phase hours showed a significant increase in T3, T4 and T5 as compared with T2 and no significant difference as compared with the T1 in cycle five. Study concluded the Glycyrrhiza glabra had the ability in treating poly cystic ovary and lead to augment positive consequence of piogiltazone. The Influence of Le Corbusier on the Emergence of the Aesthetic Values in the Modern Architecture of Cyprus
Modernity has significantly influenced the branches of human knowledge; architecture has a substantial share in this effect. Modern architecture, in turn, was not a negative recipient to impact, but it was a positive catalyst for decades. Moreover, it did not limit to certain geographic boundaries, but it has spread all over the world and Cyprus was not an exception. Due to most of the Cypriot pioneer architects were studied in Europe; Cyprus was the incubator that has many architectural distinctive pieces of evidence of modern architecture. Perhaps the expert reader of the modern architectural discourse of Cyprus could distinguish numerous aesthetic features in Cyprus Buildings especially the private residences and their appearance is credited back to one of the pioneers of modern architecture; Le Corbusier. The research paper is an attempt to determine the influence of the principles that Le Corbusier claimed as keystones of modern architecture in early twenty century and how impressed on the emergence of aesthetic values of the modern architecture of Cyprus as well. The paper takes two works of Neoptolemos Michaelides, as case study (Neoptolemos Michaelides is considered the father of Cyprus modern architecture). The first case study is his and wife private residence, which considers the icon of the modern residential architecture of Cyprus and the other is the first residential project designed by him Theotodos Kanthos residence
From Zoning Based Area to a Hybrid Space; the Transformation Strategies
One of the contemporary city`s ambition nowadays is to be more comfortable, flexible and coeval. Although numerous urban design attempts have appeared to enhance the user\u27s gratification, there are urgent demands to upgrade the classical public space to be more agreeable with the necessities of everyday life. Most of the urban areas after industry era are zoning based, meanwhile, have been less adaptable to daily life conditions economically, environmentally and psychologically alike. The zoning based space has a single- activity such as public or private, workspace or leisure space, etc., while the urgent demand is to look for kind of space, has mixed -activities that give it more richness, diversity, and interaction. This type of Heterotopic space has potentials, characteristics, and efforts that reconcile the everyday life requirements. On another hand, it could be defined, as a smart space, which is more correspondent with technological development through applying the digital technologies involved it. Regarding the principles of the deconstruction approach in urban studies, predominantly the hybrid space is compatible with these principles. Some of the key strategies that are sharing in both deconstruction approach and hybrid space concept are the layering and the binary oppositions. This paper is an attempt to reframe the principles of creating the public space and portrays the features of transforming the zoning based area into a hybrid one. In addition, it aims to implement deconstructive approach tools as strategies for enhancing user satisfaction in public space. The paper adopts a comparative approach that criticizes the zoning theory from different perspectives according to numerous situations and it accepts the hybrid space theory as a substitutional possibility to deconstruct the typical public space
