Nanotechnology refers to the creation and utilization of materials whose constituents existat the nanoscale; and, by convention, be up to 100 nm in size. Nanotechnology exploreselectrical, optical, and magnetic activity as well as structural behavior at the molecular andsubmolecular level. The absorption band at 567 cm-1 was assigned to Co-O stretching vibrationmode and 661 cm-1 was assigned to the bridging vibration of O-Co-O bond denotes theCo2+Co3+O3 bonding vibrations as in type ABO3 (where A denotes the Co2+ in the tetrahedral site)of the crystal lattice structure. The small broad band at 3440 cm-1 is due to O-H stretchingvibration modes. The less intense band at 1635 cm-1is assigned to the bending mode of watermolecule vibration. Increasing the calcination temperature reduces the intensity of the 3440 cm-1,which may be due to the reduction in water content of the samples

Background: Parkinson’s disease (PD) PD ranks second among the common neurodegenerative disease next only to Alzheimer’s dementia. Autonomic symptoms in Parkinson’s disease is very common.  This study assesses the autonomic dysfunction in PD, their prevalence, type and severity in related to staging. Methods: The study was conducted in Rajiv Gandhi government general hospital, Institute of neurology Madras medical college between 2011 to 2013, 141 patients fulfilling the criteria of Parkinson’s disease brain bank society were included in the study. All the patients were clinically examined with special attention to history, clinical features and symptoms and signs of Autonomic dysfunction. The patients were graded using the Hoehn and Yahr staging system. Results: Among 141 patients, 118 (83.7%) had autonomic dysfunction. Among 87 males, 72 patients had ANS dysfunction and among 54 females, 46 patients had ANS dysfunction. Stage wise 39 patients of 53 patients (73.6%) belonging to Stage I; 37 of 44 (84.1%) belonging to Stage II; 26 of 28 (92.8%) belonging to Stage III and all patients belonging to Stage IV and V had ANS dysfunction. Conclusions: ANS dysfunction in Parkinson’s disease is a common problem and the prevalence of it is 82.75% in males and 85.2% in females and overall in 83.7% of patients. The prevalence of ANS dysfunction in Males and females increases as the Hoehn and Yahr stage increases as evidenced by 68.7% of males and 80.9% of females have ANS dysfunction in stage I, while 100% of males and females in stage IV and V have ANS dysfunction. Sexual dysfunction (84.7%) ranks first followed by gastrointestinal (56.9%), and thermoregulatory (51.3%) autonomic disturbances in males and urinary disturbances (78.3%), ranks first followed by thermoregulatory (65.2%), and cardiovascular disturbances (56.5%) in females

The growth of the Internet has increased multi-folds in recent years. The Internet has become the medium of communication since the Covid-19 pandemic had started. The usage of communication via online means that the audio and visual content has also increased rapidly. Though it has been a boon for the major section of the people, differently-abled like the hearing-impaired people have limited resources to make use of. This project is aimed to design an application that converts the speech and text input into a sequence of sign language visuals. Speech recognition is used to convert the input audio to text and it is further translated into sign language. Natural Language Processing algorithms are used for word segmentation and extraction of root words. The translation happens to the Indian Sign Language in an effort to make this project more regional to the people of India

A bipartite graph based proportional fair scheduling strategy to improve throughput with multiple resource blocks

The fifth-generation wireless communication is expected to provide a huge amount of capacity to cater to the need of an increasing number of mobile consumers, which can be satisfied by device-to-device (D2D) communication. Reusing the cellular user’s resources in an efficient manner helps to increase the spectrum efficiency of the network but it leads to severe interference. The important point in reusing cellular user resources is that D2D communication should not affect the cellular user’s efficiency. After achieving this requirement, the focus is now turned toward the allocation of resources to D2D communication. This resource allocation strategy is to be designed in such a way that it will not affect communication among the cellular user (CU). This scheme improves various performance objectives. This paper aims at designing a proportional fair resource allocation algorithm based on the bipartite graph which maintains the quality of service (QoS) of CUs while providing D2D communication. This algorithm can be merged with any other scheme of resource allocation for improving QoS and adopting changing channels. In this scheme, a D2D pair can be allocated with one or more than one resource blocks. The MATLAB simulations analyze the performance of the proposed scheme

Hybrid chaos-based image encryption algorithm using Chebyshev chaotic map with deoxyribonucleic acid sequence and its performance evaluation

The media content shared on the internet has increased tremendously nowadays. The streaming service has major role in contributing to internet traffic all over the world. As the major content shared are in the form of images and rapid increase in computing power a better and complex encryption standard is needed to protect this data from being leaked to unauthorized person. Our proposed system makes use of chaotic maps, deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) coding and ribonucleic acid (RNA) coding technique to encrypt the image. As videos are nothing but collection of images played at the rate of minimum 30 frames/images per second, this methodology can also be used to encrypt videos. The complexity and dynamic nature of chaotic systems makes decryption of content by unauthorized personal difficult. The hybrid usage of chaotic systems along with DNA and RNA sequencing improves the encryption efficiency of the algorithm and also makes it possible to decrypt the images at the same time without consuming too much of computation power

Background: An upper gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy procedure is an invasive medical procedure that is used in diagnosis and treatment of various intestinal disorders. Patients posted for upper GI endoscopy procedures often experience significant levels of pre-procedural fear, anxiety and discomfort during the procedure which can negatively affect cooperation levels during the procedure with the attending doctor. A very few studies have explored the beneficial effects of music therapy in this regard and so our study was planned. Methods: A prospective randomised controlled trial was conducted with a sample of 54 patients who were enrolled for this study. They were randomly divided into two groups - group 1 consisting of 27 patients, receiving a music therapy intervention and group 2 consisting of 27 patients who served as a control group. Group 1 received a receptive music therapy intervention in the form vocal, relaxing, improvisational music with patient preferred chants for fifteen minutes before and during the endoscopy procedure. Group 2 did not receive a music therapy intervention. Results: The results indicated that the post intervention, state-anxiety levels was significantly lower in the music therapy group compared to the control group with (p=0.001). Patients’ cooperation levels during the procedure with the attending doctor was significantly higher in the music therapy group than in the control group (p=0.001).Conclusions: Repeated music therapy intervention is highly beneficial in reducing state anxiety levels and improving cooperation levels during the GI endoscopy procedure
