Templo Flor de Loto : Estudio, análisis y modelización mediante SAP2000 de la estructura de un edificio relevante de la arquitectura moderna y contemporánea

Gran parte de la arquitectura actual está fuertemente influenciada por la búsqueda de la complejidad y dificultad para poder resaltar y, en gran parte, destacar sobre el resto de edificaciones. Esto es debido a la ingente cantidad de obras y nuevos proyectos, tanto a pequeña como a gran escala, que se realizaron en las últimas décadas. Aunque se está reconociendo esta complejidad de ejecución en la arquitectura, esto no quiere decir que no se busque la simplicidad. Sin embargo, vemos que la simplicidad y la claridad estética pueden derivar de la complejidad interior. Bajo estas premisas, el objeto de este estudio, es el de detallar la fórmula estructural llevada a cabo en uno de los edificios relevantes de la arquitectura del siglo XX, que, basado en la pureza de líneas y simplicidad visual, conlleva un gran cálculo estructural tras él. Posteriormente, llevaremos a cabo el cálculo de la estructura realizada mediante herramientas actuales, como es el SAP2000, y bajo las premisas adoptadas en el momento de su construcción. De esta manera podremos observar el porqué de la solución constructiva y estructural empleada y las diferencias de cálculo existentes. Para ello emplearemos y estudiaremos la cubierta del “Templo de Loto” en Delhi de Fariborz Sahba. Se trata de una de las construcciones relevantes e icónicas del siglo XX, de gran complejidad tanto estructural como constructiva.Much of the current architecture is strongly influenced by the pursuit of complexity and difficulty to highlight and largely stand out from the other buildings. However, we see that simplicity and aesthetic clarity can derive from the inner complexity. Under these assumptions, the object of this study is to detail the structural formula implemented in one of the important buildings of the twentieth century architecture, which, based on the purity of lines and visual simplicity, carries great structural calculation behind it. Subsequently, we will carry out the calculation of the structure made by current tools, such as SAP2000, and under the assumptions adopted at the time of its construction. We will be able to see the reasons of the constructive and structural solutions were used and the differences in calculation. We will use and study the cover of "Lotus Temple" in Delhi Fariborz Sahba. This is one of the important and iconic buildings of the twentieth century, with a great complexity, either structural or constructive.Escusa Martínez, MÁ. (2016).
