    : Tumor Necrosis Factor- α (TNF-α) is a systemic pro-inflammatory cytokine which is responsible to a trauma, injury, or inflammation in human body. Physical activity can physiologically affect the human body, inter alia the immune system. This was an experimental study with a post test design. This study aimed to determine the profile of TNF-α after doing gymnastics among the elderly at nursing home Bethania Lembean. Samples included 30 peoples who met the inclusion criteria, i.e. over 64 years old, followed the gymnastics for 5 weeks regularly, approbated as respondents, healthy, and signed the informed consent. The TNF-α concentration measurements were done by using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) Quantikine ®Human TNF-α. The results showed that the average conventration of TNF-α after elderly gymnastics was 70.54 pg/ml, with the highest value of 88.90 pg/mL and the lowest value of 12.54 pg/mL. For all respondents, TNF-α was within normal limit and ranged between 10-100 pg / mL. Conclusion: In this study, TNF-α concentrations after elderly gymnastics for 5 weeks were within normal limit

    : Blood pressureand pulse rateis very important in the health sectorin general, and particularly in the field of medicine, since the blood pressure and pulse rateis a factor that can be used as an indicator to assessa person's cardiovascular system. Blood pressure is the force used by the blood against the walls of blood vessels (arteries). Blood pressure is a vital sign in the human body. Numerous studies have shown an relationship between changes of blood pressure with pounding music that are to heard or playing a musical instrument. Physiologically increases and decreasesin blood pressurecan becaused bya particulargenre. As well as the increase and decrease in blood pressure both before and after playing music in fluenced by physical activity while playing certain musical instruments. For example, a drum player, his blood pressure willincrease two-fold in time afterplayingthe music, and theviolin decreased time after playing music. The purpose of this study, was to determine what kind of instrument music that can increase and decrease blood pressure. The type of research is observational with cross sectional study. The variable in this study is a music player and high blood pressure. The subjects was students in the school musical TOM's Yamaha Music School as many as 40 people who have met the criteria for inclusion are aged 10-35 years consisted of men and women, physically and mentally healthy, not suffering from hypertension and signed the informed consent. Measurement of blood pressure used tensimeter aneroid ABN spectrum and Littmann stethoscope. Before playing the music, the averages blood pressure with result that optimal is 106/74mmHg, the averages blood pressure with result that normal is 121/80mmHg, the averages blood pressure with result that high normal is 130/90mmHg, and the averages blood pressure with result that mild hypertension is 140/92mmHg. Based on this research, it was found there are difference in a blood pressure before and after playing music. The normal blood pressure before playing music and will increase or decrease in time after playing the music

    : As an infectious transmitted disease, malaria has been a tremendous health problem around the world. Indonesia is determined as one of the 104 malaria-endemic countries in the world. Pregnant women are easier infected by malaria compared with the general population. People suffered from malaria may have low haemoglobin and high TNF-α levels. The increased TNF α level may cause bad complication or mortality in malaria patient. This study aimed to determine the levels of hemoglobin and TNF-α among pregnant woman with malaria in Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Utara. This was a cross-sectional study. Samples were obtained by using purposive sampling method. Besides using questionnaire, there were three laboratory tests conducted in this study: peripheral blood smear with Giemsa staining for detection of plasmodia; hemoglobin level with rapid test hemoglobin; and TNF-α level with ELISA. The bivariate analysis showed that of 72 pregnant women there was only one (1.4%) with positive malaria and increased TNF-α level. There was no pregnant woman with malaria had low hemoglobin level. The chi square test showed a P value 1,00 (α = 0,05). Conclusion: There was no relation between plasmodium infection and the levels of TNF α and hemoglobin among pregnant women in Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Utara

    : Sodium is an extracellular fluid cation which is the highest in amount, 35-40% sodium (Na) is found in the body skeleton. The function of sodium is the regulation of fluid volume, the regulation of fluid balance, the regulation of osmolarity, and the regulation of blood pressure. Blood pressure is the force that is needed to keep the blood flowing inside the blood vessel and circulates to reach all the tissues in human body. Blood pressure consists of two components, the systolic pressure and diastolic pressure. According to the study conducted by Riset Kesehatan Dasar on 2007, it was found that the Natuna Islands (coastal areas) has the highest prevalence of hypertension, which is 53,3%, while the highlands of Jayawijaya has the lowest prevalence of hypertension, which is 6,8%. The North Bolaang Mongondow regency, especially West Bolangitang district is an area which is conditioned around the coastal areas. Adolescents, according to WHO, are those aged 12-24 years old. This was an analytical descriptive research is conducted with a cross sectional study design. Afterward, the collected datas are processed using the help of SPSS software. The population is all of the students in SMAN 1 Bolangitang Barat, North Bolaang Mongondow regency and the samples were collected with purposive sampling technique. The results showed that the number of respondents who follow the research were 60 students, consisting 16 boy and 44 girl by spearman's correlation statistical test.This study shows no correlation between the levels of sodium and blood pressure on adolescents in West Bolangitang district North Bolaang Mongondow regency. Conclusion: there is no correlation between the levels of sodium and blood pressure on adolescents in West Bolangitang district, North Bolaang Mongondow regency

    : Acute physical exercise is an exercise activity that is carried out with a long duration of ± 10-15 minutes with mild to moderate intensity. Several studies have shown that reduced physical exercise may lower lung resistance. Physical exercise causes an increase in respiratory muscle endurance so that respiratory function will increase. One assessment measure lung function FEV1 (Forced Expiratory Volume in One Second) by using a spirometry. The objective of this study is to overlook the effect of physical exercise on lung function of FEV1 at medical student basketball players in Sam Ratulangi University. The subject of this study are 35 medical students that have been active playing basketball for more or less than 6 months within 10-15 minutes exercise duration. Subject was measured with spirometry to see the effect of this treatment on FEV1. All of 35 subjects finish this program. FEV1 before the treatment was 3.4871 and 3.4474 after treatment.Conclusion: FEV1 increase about 0,73 litres, but it's not statistically significant (p>0,05

    : Iron deficiency anemia is a major nutritional problem in the world and until now has not resolved properly. World Health Organization (WHO) had estimated more then 2 million people had been exposed with anaemia with prevalence of 30% in pregnant women especially in Developing Countries such as Indonesia, which according RISKESDAS in 2013 the prevalence of anemia in Indonesia approximately 31.7%. There are several risk factors that cause pregnant women to experience iron deficiency anemia like economic problems, the lack of iron absorption and blood loss resulting in decreased hemoglobin levels such as menstruation, bleeding and infection. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of iron tablets on antenatal care for pregnant women hemoglobin. This research is analytic survey with cross sectional study. Then the data that had been collected will be processed by using SPSS program. The population is all pregnant women in the working area in 6 health centers Mongondouw Bolaang North and sampling done purposive sampling. By using the chi square test, it showed that there is a correlation between antenatal care with hemoglobin levels (P=0,047) and there is a correlation between iron tablet with hemoglobin levels (P= 0,015). There is a correlation between iron tablets and antenatal care with hemoglobin levels in pregnant women in North Bolaang Mongondouw

    : Currently more than 2 billion people infected with worms. High prevalence is found primarily in industrialized countries (developing countries). In Indonesia worms is a public health problem after malnutrition. Worms often associated with deficiency anemia espencially iron deficiency. World Health Organization (WHO) reported that the prevelence of pregnant women who experienced approximately 35-75% iron deficiency and increased along with increasing gestational age. Burden of disease and morbidity from worm disease is transmitted through the ground is influenced by the highly complex immune response, TNF immune response against bacteria, fungal invasion, viruses and parasites. The research is analytic survey doing by cross sectional study. After that data collected were processed using SPSS. All of the population are pregnant women in 6 working areas of North Bolaang Mongondow district health center and the population sampel section is taken by purposive sampling. By using the chi square test at the 95 % confidence level of this study showed there is a correlation worm infection with TNF α in pregnant women and there is no corelation worm infection with hemoglobin levels in pregnant women. No correlation between worm infections and hemoglobin levels and there is correlation between worm infection with TNF α in pregnant women in North Bolaang Mongondow regency
