Alcohol, power and public health: a comparative study of alcohol policy
This co-authored book compares the development of alcohol policy in England, Scotland, Ireland and Denmark. It explores the emergence of a public health approach in Europe and provides a historical perspective on the factors influencing policy development in the four countries. The case studies pose questions regarding who sets policy agendas, how social problems are defined and framed, and how governments balance the competing interests of different social groups
