    CARATTERISTICHE FONDAMENTALI DI UN LEARNER’S DICTIONARY ITALIANO

    Il presente studio si dedica a una categoria di dizionari ancora assente nella lessicografia italiana: i dizionari per apprendenti L2. Mentre il mercato italiano è dotato di una serie di dizionari pedagogici ideati per alunni e studenti italiani, un’opera concepita secondo il modello dei leaner's dictionaries inglesi e tedeschi, esclusivamente indirizzati a utenti stranieri (o di italiano L2 in generale) non esiste. L’articolo descrive le caratteristiche fondamentali di un tale dizionario, comprendenti le definizioni, i rapporti semantico-lessicali e morfosemantici tra i lemmi, i contesti sintagmatici tipici (collocazioni e valenze) e la dimensione pragmatica nel trattamento lessicografico dei segnali discorsivi e dei fraseologismi. Ne risulta chiaramente come dovrebbe essere un learner’s dictionary italiano.     Fundamental characteristics of an italian learner’s dictionary   This study discusses a category of dictionaries which are still absent from Italian lexicography: dictionaries for L2 learners.  While the Italian market offers a series of pedagogical dictionaries designed for Italian pupils ad students, a work along the lines of an English or German learner’s dictionary model, exclusively for foreign learners (or Italian L2 learners in general) does not exist.  The article describes the basic characteristics for such a dictionary, including definitions, the semantic-lexical and morphosyntatical relationships between the entries, typical syntagmatic contexts (collocations and valences) and the pragmatic dimension in the lexographical  treatment of discourse signals and phraseologisms.  It is clear how an Italian learner’s dictionary should be designed

    Le rapport entre langue et musique du point de vue linguistique

    This article, which aims to bridge the gap between musicology and linguistics, deals with the interactions of language and music. Its starting point is the question of which phonological and especially prosodic characteristics of a language come into play when it is sung, i.e. when it is subject to musical specificities. First, the concept of ‘cantability’ will be critically examined and its essential definitional elements discussed. These form the methodological basis for the musicological and linguistic analysis of opera arias in German, French, and Italian, in the frame of a research project. This project will subsequently be placed in the interdisciplinary context of the cantability of languages, the interactionof language and music, and the interaction between composer, librettist, and singer

    Questo articolo presenta il progetto di ricerca sulla fraseologia italiana realizzato presso l’Università di Düsseldorf. L’ideazione del progetto si basa su principi della Frame Semantics e della Grammatica delle Costruzioni, da un lato, e sulle esigenze degli apprendenti di italiano (LS e L2) dall’altro. L’obiettivo è esaminare le 600 locuzioni idiomatiche verbali registrate nel database e presentare in modo dettagliato, chiaro e comprensibile, le caratteristiche e le restrizioni formali e semantico-pragmatiche. L’implementazione lessicografica digitale avviene nella forma dei cosiddetti fraseoframe, che rappresentano il sapere linguistico necessario per la comprensione e l’uso attivo dei fraseologismi. Usage-based phraseology of Italian: Digital lexicography for learners between Frame Semantics and Construction GrammarThis article presents a research project on Italian phraseology carried out at the University of Düsseldorf. The theoretical framework of the project was based on principles of Frame Semantics and Construction Grammar on the one hand, and foreign language learning requirements on the other (Italian as a foreign, second or third language). The aim was to examine 600 verbal idioms recorded in the database and to present, in a detailed but clear and comprehensible way, the formal and semantic-pragmatic characteristics and restrictions. The digital lexicographic implementation took the form of so-called phraseoframes, which represent linguistic knowledge necessary for the understanding and active use of the idioms in question
