    Formation Features of the Customer Segments for the Network Organizations in the Smart Era

    Modern network society is based on the advances of information era of Smart, connecting information and communication technologies, intellectual resources and new forms of managing in the global electronic space. It leads to domination of network forms of the organization of economic activity. Many experts prove the importance of segmentation process of consumers when developing competitive strategy of the organization. Every company needs a competent segmentation of the customer base, allowing to concentrate the attention on satisfaction of requirements of the most perspective client segments. The network organizations have specific characteristics; therefore, it is important to understand how they can influence on the formation of client profiles. It causes the necessity of the network organizations’ research in terms of management of high-profitable client segments.The aim of this study is to determine the characteristics of the market segmentation and to choose the key customers for the network organizations. This purpose has defined the statement and the solution of the following tasks: to explore characteristic features of the network forms of the organization of economic activity of the companies, their prospects, Smart technologies’ influence on them; to reveal the work importance with different client profiles; to explore the existing methods and tools of formation of key customer segments; to define criteria for selection of key groups; to reveal the characteristics of customer segments’ formation for the network organizations.In the research process, methods of the system analysis, a method of analogies, methods of generalizations, a method of the expert evaluations, methods of classification and clustering were applied.This paper explores the characteristics and principles of functioning of network organizations, the appearance of which is directly linked with the development of Smart society. It shows the influence on the Smart technologies in the development of the network economy and in the emergence of network forms of organization of economic activity. The review of the methods and modern tools of segmentation of customer base is given. The article offers the author’s interpretations of the peculiar features of client segments’ formation, specific to the network organizations

    Effect of Stress Signals and <i>Ib-rolB/C</i> Overexpression on Secondary Metabolite Biosynthesis in Cell Cultures of <i>Ipomoea batatas</i>

    Ipomoea batatas is a vital root crop and a source of caffeoylquinic acid derivatives (CQAs) with potential health-promoting benefits. As a naturally transgenic plant, I. batatas contains cellular T-DNA (cT-DNA) sequence homologs of the Agrobacterium rhizogenes open reading frame (ORF)14, ORF17n, rooting locus (Rol)B/RolC, ORF13, and ORF18/ORF17n of unknown function. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of abiotic stresses (temperature, ultraviolet, and light) and chemical elicitors (methyl jasmonate, salicylic acid, and sodium nitroprusside) on the biosynthesis of CQAs and cT-DNA gene expression in I. batatas cell culture as a model system. Among all the applied treatments, ultraviolet irradiation, methyl jasmonate, and salicylic acid caused the maximal accumulation of secondary compounds. We also discovered that I. batatas cT-DNA genes were not expressed in cell culture, and the studied conditions weakly affected their transcriptional levels. However, the Ib-rolB/C gene expressed under the strong 35S CaMV promoter increased the CQAs content by 1.5–1.9-fold. Overall, our results show that cT-DNA-encoded transgenes are not involved in stress- and chemical elicitor-induced CQAs accumulation in cell cultures of I. batatas. Nevertheless, overaccumulation of RolB/RolC transcripts potentiates the secondary metabolism of sweet potatoes through a currently unknown mechanism.     Single-Step Fabrication of Resonant Silicon–Gold Hybrid Nanoparticles for Efficient Optical Heating and Nanothermometry in Cells

    Heat is a well-known treatment method for a wide range of diseases. Hyperthermia treatment or intentional overheating of cells is a rapidly developing therapeutic strategy in cancer treatment. All-dielectric nanophotonics has established itself in optical applications, including nanothermometry and optical heating; generally, it involves Mie resonances in nonplasmonic nanoparticles (NPs). However, such nanomaterials do not always provide sufficient heating due to their nonoptimal size distribution after fabrication by nonlithographic approaches. To overcome this limitation, additional steps, such as size-separation of NPs, are required. Another strategy for efficient heating is intelligent integration of plasmonic and all-dielectric nanostructures to develop hybrid nanomaterials with outstanding optical performances, e.g., efficient nanoheaters and nanothermometers. Taking this into account, we report on a simple and accessible approach for the fabrication of hybrid silicon–gold NPs. Their heating abilities are further compared with those of pristine monodispersed Si NPs inside and outside B16–F10 melanoma cells and confirmed by simultaneous nanoscale thermometry. The obtained results show that the obtained hybrid nanomaterials are more efficient nanoheaters even in biological environments, where cell inhomogeneity and deviations of NP sizes make it difficult to exactly meet the critical coupling conditions
