Determination of the Michel Parameters rho, xi, and delta in tau-Lepton Decays with tau --> rho nu Tags
Using the ARGUS detector at the storage ring DORIS II, we have
measured the Michel parameters , , and for
decays in -pair events produced at
center of mass energies in the region of the resonances. Using
as spin analyzing tags, we find , , , , and . In addition, we report
the combined ARGUS results on , , and using this work
und previous measurements.Comment: 10 pages, well formatted postscript can be found at

Spectral Correlation in Incommensurate Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes
We investigate the energy spectra of clean incommensurate double-walled
carbon nanotubes, and find that the overall spectral properties are described
by the so-called critical statistics of Anderson metal-insulator transition. In
the energy spectra, there exist three different regimes characterized by
Wigner-Dyson, Poisson, and semi-Poisson distributions. This feature implies
that the electron transport in incommensurate multi-walled nanotubes can be
either diffusive, ballistic, or intermediate between them, depending on the
position of the Fermi energy.Comment: final version to appear in Phys. Rev. Let
Improved Measurements of Partial Rate Asymmetry in B -> h h Decays
We report improved measurements of the partial rate asymmetry (Acp) in B -> h
h decays with 140fb^-1 of data collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB
e+e- collider. Here h stands for a charged or neutral pion or kaon and in total
five decay modes are included: K-+ pi+-, K0s pi-+, K-+ pi0, pi-+ pi0 and K0s
pi0. The flavor of the last decay mode is determined from the accompanying B
meson. Using a data sample 4.7 times larger than that of our previous
measurement, we find Acp(K-+ pi+-) -0.088+-0.035+-0.013, 2.4 sigma from zero.
Results for other decay modes are also presented.Comment: 9 pages, 1 figur
Observation of Radiative Decay
We report the observation of the decay with a
statistical significance of in 78.1 \ifb of data collected by the
Belle experiment at the KEKB collider. This is the first observation
of a flavor-changing radiative decay of a charmed meson. The Cabibbo- and
color-suppressed decays , are also observed for
the first time. We measure branching fractions \br(D^{0} \to \phi \gamma)
= [ 2.60^{+0.70}_{-0.61} \stat {}^{+0.15}_{-0.17} \syst ] \times 10^{-5},
\br(D^{0} \to \phi \pi^{0})
= [ 8.01 \pm 0.26 \stat \pm 0.47 \syst ] \times 10^{-4}, and \br(D^{0} \to
\phi \eta) = [ 1.48 \pm 0.47 \stat \pm 0.09 \syst ] \times 10^{-4}.Comment: 9 pages, 4 figures, Belle Preprint 2003-24, KEK Preprint 2003-75,

Search for the Lepton-Flavor-Violating Decay at Belle
We have searched for the Lepton Flavor Violating decay using a data sample of 84.3 fb accumulated with the Belle detector
at KEK. The -meson was detected through the decay modes: and . No signal candidates are found, and we
obtain an upper limit for the branching fraction at the 90% confidence level.Comment: Submitted to Phys.Rev.Let
An Upper Bound on the Decay tau -> mu gamma from Belle
We have performed a search for the lepton-flavor-violating decay tau -> mu
gamma using a data sample of 86.3fb^{-1} accumulated by the Belle detector at
KEK. No evidence for a signal is seen, and we set an upper limit for the
branching fraction of B(tau -> mu gamma) < 3.1 x 10^{-7} at the 90% confidence
level.Comment: 6 pages, 4 figuresm, submitted to Phys. Rev. Let
Observation of B+ to Lambda Lambdabar K+
We report the first observation of the charmless hyperonic B decay, B^+ -->
Lambda Lambdabar K^+, using a 140 fb^-1 data sample recorded at the Upsilon(4S)
resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB e^+e^- collider. The measured
branching fraction is B(B^+ --> Lambda Lambdabar K^+) = 2.91 ^{+0.90}_{-0.70}
+/- 0.38 *10^-6 . We also perform a search for the related decay mode B^+ -->
Lambda Lambdabar pi^+, but do not find a significant signal. We set a 90%
confidence-level upper limit of B(B^+ --> Lambda Lambdabar pi^+) < 2.8 * 10^-6.Comment: 9 pages, 3 figures, submitted to Phys. Rev. Let
Measurement of Branching Fractions for Decays
We report measurements of branching fractions for charged and neutral decays where the meson is reconstructed in the and decay
channels. The neutral channel is a CP eigenstate and can be used to
measure the CP violation parameter . We also report the first
observation of the mode. The results are based on an
analysis of 29.1 fb of data collected by the Belle detector at KEKB.Comment: To appear in Physical Review Letter
Evidence of B0 --> rho0 pi0
We present the first evidence of the decay B0 --> rho0 pi0, using 140fb^-1 of
data collected at the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB
asymmetric e+e- collider. We detect a signal with a significance of 3.5
standard deviations, and measure the branching fraction to be Br(B0 ->- rho0
pi0) = (5.1 +/- 1.6(stat) +/- 0.9(syst))*10^-6.Comment: RevTex4, 5 pages, 4 figures, submitted to Phys.Rev.Let
Measurement of K^+K^- production in two-photon collisions in the resonant-mass region
K^+K^- production in two-photon collisions has been studied using a large
data sample of 67 fb^{-1} accumulated with the Belle detector at the KEKB
asymmetric e^+e^- collider. We have measured the cross section for the process
gamma gamma -> K^+ K^- for center-of-mass energies between 1.4 and 2.4 GeV, and
found three new resonant structures in the energy region between 1.6 and 2.4
GeV. The angular differential cross sections have also been measured.Comment: 24 pages, 8 figures, to appear in Euro. Phys. Jour.
