Resultados de la exposición «Ciencia, Música e Historia»

La exposición «Ciencia, Música e Historia» fue una de las actividades del proyecto de innovación docente «Desarrollo de recursos didácticos comunes a las áreas del Departamento de Didácticas Específicas» que se llevó a cabo durante la tercera semana del mes de diciembre de 2016. El proyecto nació con la idea de ofrecer al alumnado del Grado de Maestro de Educación Primaria una forma distinta y motivadora de aprender sobre los distintos recursos disponibles para la enseñanza de las ciencias y de mostrar la conexión que existe entre las ciencias experimentales y otras ramas del saber, como las ciencias sociales, la música, la lengua o las matemáticas. La actividad consistió en el montaje de una serie de módulos expositivos (tipo museo), donde los alumnos del Grado explicaron la vida y obra de un famoso científico a escolares de distintos centros educativos (lo visitaron unos 1500 alumnos de centros públicos, concertados y privados). Los módulos incluyeron música, aquella que escuchaban los científicos elegidos, así como anécdotas históricas y sociales de la época que les tocó vivir a estos investigadores. De esta forma buscamos el lado más humano de estos grandes pensadores. El trabajo en grupo entre los alumnos del Grado les ayudó a introducirse en el mundo del aprendizaje cooperativo. El proyecto permitió evaluar al alumno de manera globalizada y analizando distintos aspectos de su formación. La respuesta del alumnado del Grado fue muy buena, superando las expectativas iniciales.The exhibition «Science, Music and History» was one of the activities of the teaching innovation project «Development of didactic resources common to the areas of the Department of Specific Didactics» that took place during the third week of the month of December 2016. The project was born with the idea of offering undergraduate students from the Faculty of Education a different and motivating way to learn about the different resources available for teaching science and to show the connection that exists between experimental sciences and other branches of knowledge, namely social sciences, music, language or mathematics. The activity consisted in a series of exhibition modules (museum type), where the undergraduate students explained the life and work of a famous scientist to schoolchildren from different educational centers (about 1,500 students from public and private schools). The modules included music, the one that the chosen scientists listened to, as well as historical and social anecdotes of the time that these researchers lived. In this way we look for the most human side of these great thinkers. The group work among the undergraduate students helped them to understand the basics of cooperative learning. The project allowed to evaluate the student in a globalized way and analyzing different aspects of their training. The response of the undergraduate students was very good, surpassing the initial expectations. His degree of motivation and effort were excellent

From words to action: results of the innovation project ‘explain it in 10 minutes’

El proyecto «Explícamelo en 10 minutos» se diseñó con el objetivo de mejorar las habilidades comunicativas de los estudiantes de las asignaturas de Didáctica de la Ciencia del Grado de Maestro en Educación Primaria, así como su capacidad de concreción a la hora de explicar conceptos y fenómenos naturales. También se pretendía dar al alumnado una experiencia didáctica fuera del aula. Tras sufrir algunas modificaciones por motivos organizativos, el proyecto ha permitido al alumnado del Grado de Maestreo en Educación Primaria (y también del Grado de Maestro en Educación Infantil) poner en práctica en un colegio real las unidades didácticas desarrolladas en las asignaturas de Didáctica de la Ciencia. De esta manera, los alumnos del Grado pudieron comprobar la calidad de los trabajos que se les asignaron, que no quedan en un mero documento, sino que se ponen en práctica. Nuestro alumnado puede evaluar qué aspectos de su trabajo pueden mejorarse o modificarse y cuales han tenido un impacto positivo en el alumnado de Educación Primaria (e Infantil). Creemos que el nivel de motivación del alumnado ha subido significativamente con la puesta en marcha de este proyectoThe project «Explain it in 10 minutes» was designed in an attempt to improve the communicative skills of the undergraduate students enrolled in the course of Science Teaching of the Degree of Teacher in Primary Education, as well as their capacity to explain scientific concepts and natural phenomena. It was also intended to give students a didactic experience outside the classroom. After undergoing some modifications due to organizational problems, the project allowed the students of the Degree of Teacher in Primary (and also Pre-School) Education to put into practice in a real school the didactical units implemented in the course of Science Teaching. In this sense, our students tested the quality of their works, which were not left in a mere document, but were put into practice. Our students could evaluate which aspects of their work could be improved or modified and which have had a positive impact in the classrooms.
