Penggunaan XML Database Xindice pada Aplikasi Kriptografi Menggunakan Data XML untuk Keamanan Distribusi Data

In order to send data or information processed by using cryptography people can use XML(eXtensible Markup Language). XML data are general texts file which consist of several different tagswhich are defined by the XML document maker. In this research, the XML data were processed by usingPassword Based Encryption cryptography. This method consists of encryption and decryption meant toalter plaintext into chipertext which in turn creates chipertext from plaintext by using password key.²The implementation of the program in this research is a prototype of Hospital's web facilitated withencyption menus and decryption data which are meant to protect the saved data which are in turn accessedand processed by authorized people. The implementation of the program is built as a web application withJava Server Page (JSP) in NetBeans 6.0 with Password Based Encryption cryptography provided by JavaCryptography Extension (JCE)

The Lithofacies Association of Brown Shales in Kiliran Jao Subbasin, West Sumatra Indonesia

DOI:10.17014/ijog.2.2.77-90The lithofacies association, mainly lithology and depositional sequences of the Brown Shale Unit of Pematang Group was studied based on recent fieldwork at Karbindo Coal Mine, in Kiliran Jao Subbasin,West Sumatra, Indonesia. The lower part of the Brown Shale Unit consists of coal and limestone facies which were deposited in a marginal lacustrine area. The limestone was generated by evaporatic processes characterized by the presence of primary calcite crystals. The upper part of the unit, from bottom to top, is composed of six facies associations, among all: amalgamated massive thick bedded shales, interlaminated shales and siltstones, interbedded grey and red shales, fossiliferous shales, massive thick bedded shales, and interlaminated shale and sandstone facies. Those facies were deposited in a shallow to deep water lacustrine environment, characterized by their lithology compositions, sedimentary structures, and fossil contents. Sediaan Biji Barringtonia Asiatica: Aktivitas Pada Hama Kubis Crocidolomia Pavonana Di Laboratorium Dan Keefektifan Di Lapangan

Preparation of Barringtonia asiatica: insecticidal activity against Crocidolomia pavonana on laboratory and effectiveness on field. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the insecticidal and anti-oviposition activity of ethanol seed extract of Barringtonia asiatica against Crocidolomia pavonana in the laboratory, and to determine the effectiveness of a simple preparation of B. asiatica seeds in supressing oviposition and population of C. pavonana in the field. The mortality bioassays were conducted by a leaf-feeding method. Anti-oviposition activity was assessed by a choice-test in the nursery. The results showed that the ethanol seed extract of B. asiatica possessed strong insecticidal activity against C. pavonana larvae with LC50 of 0.14%. The extract at concentrations of 0.14-1.00% reduced oviposition by C. pavonana female as much as 65.7-95.6%. B. asiatica seeds ground in water for 5 seconds and then immersed for 1 hour at a concentration of 50 g l-1 yielded a simple preparation which was active against C. pavoana larvae. Such simple preparation at a concentration of 75 g l-1 sprayed on cabbage crop effectively suppressed population of C. pavonana larvae in the field

Performance of Cooled Cone Grinding Machine in Cocoa Cake Processing

The process of cocoa paste pressing has a function to separate the fatty component of cocoa from its cake. Cocoa paste is further processed into cocoa powder using grinding machine for cocoa cake. The cooled cone type of cocoa grinding machine is used to solve the problem of plug in the maschine caused by melting of fat in cocoa cake due to hot effect as a result of friction in the grinding machine. Grinding machine of cocoa has conical form of cylinder for grinding and stator wall wrapped by source of cold and closed with jacket wool. Research was conducted at Kaliwining Experimental Garden of Indonesian Coffee and Cocoa Research Institute (ICCRI) using cocoa cake containing 26.75% originated from Forastero type of cocoa seed. The capacity and recovery of the machine was influenced by space between rotor cylinder and stator wall. Grinding machine operated at cooling temperature of 25.5oC and space between rotor – stator 0.9 cm and the capacity of 187.5 kg/hour with recovery of 200 mesh cocoa powder as much as 24%. The maximum power of machine required was 2.5 kW with efficiency of energy transfer of 97%. Results of proximate analysis showed that there was no change of protein content, but protein and carbohydrate content increased after processing, i.e. from 5.70% and 59.82% into 5.80% and 61.89% respectively

Local Response to Decentralization and Its Impact on the Business Environment

The main objective of the study is to find out the impact of implementation of regional autonomy policy in Indomesia. The study is a combination between desk study (secondary data analysis) with small field survey in three districts (Yogyakarta, Bantul and Makassar). One of the main findings is that the central government clearly has not completed its big works to issue many regulations to make the policy effective and to avoid possible negative impact of the implementation of the policy. At district level, there are two contradictory responses by local governments. First, there is a spirit to release tight regulations on the business activities through (especially) one stop service office. But, on the other hand, the other spirit is to gain more local revenue from business activities. Meanwhile, the private sector (especially small medium enterprises) is in the “wait and see” position. Their main concern is whether the government (either at central level or local level) has an intention to “disturb” their market (rather than to levy them without disturbing the market). The big question to balance the interest of all agents is how to increase (local) revenue of local government without burdening the private sector. One of the possible answers to the question is to re-formulate the balancing fund allocation, particularly related to the distribution of corporate income tax. That is needed to make a clear link between enabling business environment with local government interest
