Cluster states in nuclei as representations of a U(n+1) group

We propose a description of cluster states in nuclei in terms of representations of unitary algebras U(n+1), where n is the number of space degrees of freedom. Within this framework, a variety of situations including both vibrational and rotational spectra, soft and rigid configurations, identical and non-identical constituents can be described. As an example, we show how the method can be used to study alpha-clustering configurations in 12C with point group symmetry D(3h).Comment: 5 pages, 2 figures, Phys. Rev. C, in pres

Charge Form Factor and Cluster Structure of 6^6Li Nucleus

The charge form factor of 6{}^6Li nucleus is considered on the basis of its cluster structure. The charge density of 6{}^6Li is presented as a superposition of two terms. One of them is a folded density and the second one is a sum of 4{}^4He and the deuteron densities. Using the available experimental data for 4{}^4He and deuteron charge form factors, a good agreement of the calculations within the suggested scheme is obtained with the experimental data for the charge form factor of 6{}^6Li, including those in the region of large transferred momenta.Comment: 12 pages 5 figure

Storing nonrelativistic nuclei of hydrogen isotopes

    No full text
The paper shows that in cyclic magnetic systems the particle stopping losses provide the damping of both the betatron and synchrotron oscillations of hydrogen isotope ions in the energy range 20-80 keV/nucl. Parameters of the storage ring magnetic system and the circulating beam are estimated. Some aspects of such a storage ring application are discussed
