A New Species of the Genus Herina (Diptera, Ulidiidae) from Dominica (Lesser Antilles)

Herina caribbeana Kameneva, sp. n. from Dominica is described and figured. It is related to the narytia group of species, to date represented by 4 North American species, but differs from these by the wing pattern (dark spots at apex of R1 and on the crossbands r-m and dm-cu separated, not forming crossband), as well as male genitalia (prensisetae long and close together). This is the first record of the genus Herina Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 from the Neotropical Region. A key to the New World species is provided.Описана Herina caribbeana Kameneva, sp. n. с о. Доминика. A New Species of the Genus Otites (Diptera, Ulidiidae) from Crete (Greece)

Otites cretana Kameneva sp. n. from Crete (Psiloritis Ridge) is described. It superficially resembles Otites nebulosa (Latreille, 1812) and Dorycera persica Hennig, 1939 in the combination of very high gena and short antenna, but differs from all known Otitini by the thickened costal vein (in male), undulate vein R2+3, lacking ocellar setae and having 3 pairs of short scutellar setae. Status and generic limits of Otites and Dorycera are preliminary discussed.Описан Otites cretana Kameneva, sp. n. с Крита (хребет Псилоритис). A New Species of the Genus Herina (Diptera, Ulidiidae) from Eastern Java (Indonesia

Herina arjunae Kameneva, sp. n. from mountain grasslands on volcano Arjuna (at 2000 m a. s. l.) is described and figured. It is closely related to H. orientalis (Schiner, 1868) in the very similar position of crossveins on the wing, structure of female aculeus and spermathecae, but differing by its well-developed wing pattern with brown subbasal and apical bands, and with crossvein dm-cu brown emarginated (lacking in H. orientalis). По самцу из Швейцарии (типовая местность: Мерисхаузен, кантон Шаффхаузен) описана Herina merzi Kameneva sp. n.; обсуждается сходство нового вида с видами из Ориентальной и Австралазиатской областей. Установлена синонимия: Ortalis gyrans Loew, 1864 = Anacampta unimaculata Czerny, 1909, syn. n., Ortalis oscillans Meigen, 1826 = Herina schlueteri Becker, 1913, syn. n.
