Two- and Three-particle States in a Nonrelativistic Four-fermion Model in the Fine-tuning Renormalization Scheme. Goldstone mode "against" extension theory
In a nonrelativistic contact four-fermion model we show that simple
regularisation prescriptions together with a definite fine-tuning of the
cut-off-parameter dependence of ``bare'' quantities give the exact solutions
for the two-particle sector and Goldstone modes. Their correspondence with the
self-adjoint extension into Pontryagin space is established leading to
self-adjoint semi-bounded Hamiltonians in three-particle sectors as well.
Renormalized Faddeev equations for the bound states with Fredholm properties
are obtained and analysed.Comment: 23 pages, LaTeX, changed content, added references and two figures,

A diagrammatic treatment of neutrino oscillations
We present a covariant wave-packet approach to neutrino flavor transitions in
vacuum. The approach is based on the technique of macroscopic Feynman diagrams
describing the lepton number violating processes of production and absorption
of virtual massive neutrinos at the macroscopically separated space-time
regions ("source" and "detector"). Accordingly, the flavor transitions are a
result of interference of the diagrams with neutrinos of different masses in
the intermediate states. The statistically averaged probability of the process
is representable as a multidimensional integral of the product of the factors
which describe the differential flux density of massless neutrinos from the
source, differential cross section of the neutrino interaction with the
detector and a dimensionless factor responsible for the flavor transition. The
conditions are analyzed under which the last factor can be treated as the
flavor transition probability in the usual quantum-mechanical sense.Comment: 27 pages,7 figures, iopart class. Includes minor corrections made in

Electric Current and Noise in Long GaN Nanowires in the Space-Charge Limited Transport Regime
We studied electric current and noise in planar GaN nanowires (NWs). The
results obtained at low voltages provide us with estimates of the depletion
effects in the NWs. For larger voltages, we observed the space-charge limited
current (SCLC) effect. The onset of the effect clearly correlates with the NW
width. For narrow NWs the mature SCLC regime was achieved. This effect has
great impact on fluctuation characteristics of studied NWs. At low voltages, we
found that the normalized noise level increases with decreasing NW width. In
the SCLC regime, a further increase in the normalized noise intensity (up to
1E4 times) was observed, as well as a change in the shape of the spectra with a
tendency towards slope -3/2. We suggest that the features of the electric
current and noise found in the NWs are of a general character and will have an
impact on the development of NW-based devices.Comment: 12 pages, 4 figures in Fluctuation and Noise Letters (2017
Prompt muon contribution to the flux underwater
We present high energy spectra and zenith-angle distributions of the
atmospheric muons computed for the depths of the locations of the underwater
neutrino telescopes. We compare the calculations with the data obtained in the
Baikal and the AMANDA muon experiments. The prompt muon contribution to the
muon flux underwater due to recent perturbative QCD-based models of the charm
production is expected to be observable at depths of the large underwater
neutrino telescopes. This appears to be probable even at rather shallow depths
(1-2 km), provided that the energy threshold for muon detection is raised above
TeV.Comment: 7 pages, RevTeX, 7 eps figures, final version to be published in

Vortex-to-Polarization Phase Transformation Path in Pb(ZrTi)O Nanoparticles
Phase transformation in finite-size ferroelectrics is of fundamental
relevance for understanding collective behaviors and balance of competing
interactions in low-dimensional systems. We report a first-principles effective
Hamiltonian study of vortex-to-polarization transformation in
Pb(ZrTi)O nanoparticles, caused by homogeneous electric
fields normal to the vortex plane. The transformation is shown to (1) follow an
unusual {\it macroscopic} path that is symmetry non-conforming and
characterized by the occurrence of a previously unknown structure as the
bridging phase; (2) lead to the discovery of a striking collective phenomenon,
revealing how ferroelectric vortex is annihilated {\it microscopically}.
Interactions underlying these behaviors are discussed
