Internet use for educational purposes: Evidence from Russia
Β© 2015, Mediterranean Center of Social and Educational Research. All rights reserved. The study sets out to examine empirically the use of Internet in education process in Russia. Socio-demographic determinants of use of Internet for educational purposes, to obtain reference information or to learn the news are studied. The sample represents entire population of Russia. Significant age and gender differences in Internet use for educational purposes are discovered. Influence of satisfaction with financial status on Internet use is weak, while it is the education level of respondents which acts as the most powerful determinant of Internet use for educational purposes
VOLUNTEERING IN RUSSIAN REGIONS: SOCIO-PSYCHOLOGICAL FEATURES, PROBLEMS OF REALIZATION AND ITS SOLUTION
Volunteering, as a relatively new form of manifesting social activity, but in demand in society, requires a comprehensive study. The main purpose of this research is assessment of socio-psychological features of volunteer activities and the problems of its implementation in the regions of Russia, including in conditions of increased social tension caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The article presents the results of the interregional sociological Internet survey of volunteers conducted by the authors (on the example of the regions of the Central Federal District of the Russian Federation). Their analysis made it possible to obtain new evaluation and analytical information about the phenomenon being studied, to expand ideas about modern trends in the development of volunteering, including in the current situation of social tension; determine the vector of solving the existing problems in this area. Based on the results of the study, the authors propose practical recommendations to increase the effectiveness of volunteer activities in the regions, which can be integrated into the processes of making political and organizational and methodological decisions
Cobalt(II) and copper(II) complexes with carboxylic acids, imidazole, and 2-methylimidazole
The compositions of [MIm(MeIm)x]L complexes synthesized by the reaction of cobalt(II) and copper(II) fumarates ML Β· nH2O with imidazole (Im) and 2-methylimidazole (MeIm) were determined. The thermal decomposition of the salts was analyzed, and the pyridine nitrogen atom of imidazole and the oxygen atoms of carboxyl anions were shown to participate in complexation using electronic absorption spectra and IR spectra. The composition and stability of cobalt(II) and copper(II) imidazolatesuccinate complexes in an aqueous solution were determined photometrically and spectrophotometrically, and their higher stability in comparison with monoligand complexes was demonstrated

The formation of eyeball musculoskeletal stump using a Ni-Ti implant in vivo
The purpose of this study is to investigate the possibility of forming an eyeball musculoskeletal stump using a Ni-Ti implant in vivo. Studies were performed on 18 Wistar rats. The animals were enucleated one of eyes. After the enucleation the musculoskeletal stump using Ni-Ti implant was formed. Ni-Ti implant was made from a thread of porous Ni-Ti (TN-10) with a thickness of 100 [mu]m. Before implantation the Ni-Ti implant was sterilized by ethylene oxide. Results showed that the Ni-Ti implant surface was uniform and had not visible defects. The NiTi implant surface was a hydrophobic with the mean value of [theta]=93.5°±1.4. The Ni-Ti implant in the eye orbit was mobile. The Ni-Ti implantation into the eye orbit contributed the connective tissue with blood vessels formation and insignificant leucocytes infiltration (macrophages and lymphocytes infiltration). The study showed the possibility of forming an eyeball musculoskeletal stump using a Ni-Ti implant
Study of the Fast X-Ray Transient XTE J1901+014 Based on INTEGRAL, RXTE and ROSAT Data
The source XTE J1901+014 discovered by the RXTE observatory during an intense
outburst of hard radiation and classified as a fast X-ray transient is studied.
The source's spectral characteristics in the quiescent state have been
investigated for the first time both in the soft X-ray energy range (0.6-20
keV) based on ROSAT and RXTE data and in the hard energy range (>20 keV) based
on INTEGRAL data. A timing analysis of the source's properties has revealed
weak nonperiodic bursts of activity on time scales of several tens of seconds
and two intense (0.5-1 Crab) outbursts more than several hundred seconds
in duration. Certain assumptions about the nature of the object under study are
made.Comment: 19 pages, 7 figure
