Scythian View of Russian Revolution: Aspects of Axiology

    Get PDF
The perception of the revolution by the majority of members of the Scythian group (1916—1919) is examined in the article. The relevance of the topic is due to the fact that the views of the Scythians of the 1910s on the revolution correlate with their work, which is actively studied by modern researchers. It is shown that the priority for them was the projection of modernity on the mythologized and poeticized by them historical Scythians, the first was the question of the role of personal energy in opposition to social entropy. The article focuses on the actualization by the group members of the Scythian psychotype in the Russian revolution, on the premonition of their own death in its whirlwind, on the legacy of A. Herzen’s ideas by IvanovRazumnik. The attitude of the group members to the religious content of the revolutions of 1917 is analyzed, the skeptical view of Ivanov-Razumnik, E. Zamyatin, S. Yesenin, N. Klyuev on the Church is presented. The point of view of the spiritual Scythians who dreamed of democracy on the role of the people in the revolution and the future of the country is considered. The apprehensions of M. Prishvin, A. Blok, A. Bely for the fate of a culture threatened with destruction are outlined. It is concluded that there is no single revolutionary axiology in the group and only the relative influence of the ideas of Ivanov-Razumnik on its members

The extent of surgery for anal rectal cancer (ARC) is determined by the clinical efficacy of neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (CRT). An approach using medium intensity ultrasound combined with chemotherapy was developed. Advantages of sonodynamic chemotherapy (SD CT) were evaluated to improve the CRT efficacy and the quality of life of patients with ARC affecting the skin.Material and methods. 34 patients with morphologically verified сТ2–3N0–1M0 ARC received 2 cycles of polychemotherapy (PCT): intravenous bolus of mitomycin C 10 mg/m2 on days 1 and 29 + continuous infusion of 5-fluorouracil 1000 mg/m2 daily on days 1–4 and 29–32. Patients received CRT 3 weeks after the second PCT cycle. Prior to each session of standard external and intracavitary irradiation, 18 patients of the main group received a 2-hour extemporaneous mixture to the primary tumor site: 5 mg of the Coletex SP-1 hydrogel material with propolis based on sodium alginate plus 100 mg of gemcitabine-medac together with mid-frequency ultrasound (0.88 MHz, I =1.0 Вm/cm2, Patent No. 2638616). 16 controls received capecitabine 825 mg/m2 orally twice a day with 12-hour intervals during the radiation course.Results. Controlled general clinical effect after external irradiation + SD CT in the main group was 25.7 % (p<0.05) higher than in controls, and complete regression was 1.4 times more frequent (77.8 % vs. 56.2 %). Radical surgery after CRT was necessary only in 11.1 % cases in the main group vs. 43.8 % in controls (p<0.05). No local recurrences were observed during 612 months in 16 patients of the main group without surgery, while 22.2 % (p<0.05) of controls showed local recurrence. The rates of pelvic relapses and distant metastases were similar in both groups.Conclusion. The positive effect of the proposed method for ARC treatment is determined by the combination of therapeutic factors including the action of a radiosensitizing agent introduced into tumor tissues

THE DEVELOPMENT OF DIAGNOSTICS AND ALIMENTARY PREVENTION SYSTEM OF NON-COMMUNICABLE DISEASES

Background: Violation of dietary intake structure leads to changes in nutritional status. This contributes to the development of non-communicable diseases, which account for more than half of causes of death inRussia. Materials and methods: In a consultative and diagnostic center "Healthy Nutrition" of theInstituteofNutritionthe nutritional status of 3580 patients (mean age 48.4±0.3  years) has been examined, including genomic and post-translational analysis. 30.0% of patients were overweight and 34.1% were obese. Results: Analysis of actual dietary intake showed an increase in energy intake due to excess intake of total (44.2%  energy) and saturated fat (13.6%). Serum biochemistry analyses revealed increased cholesterol levels in 68.7%  of patients, increased low-density lipoprotein cholesterol in 63.9%, increased triglycerides in 22.5%, and increased blood glucose in 29.4%. The frequencies of risk alleles of genes associated with development of obesity and type 2 diabetes mellitus were as follows: 47.8% for the polymorphism rs9939609 (FTO gene), 8.3% for the polymorphism rs4994 (gene ADRB3), 60.2% for the polymorphism rs659366 (gene UCP2), 36.6% for the rs5219  polymorphism in the gene of ATPdependent potassium channel. Conclusion: These results can be used for development of a personalized diet based on assessment of a patient's nutritional status
