    Motivational Factors Influencing on Job Satisfaction: A Case Study on Private Commercial Banking Sector in Rajshahi, Bangladesh

    Now a day, bank is a more attractive and profitable business organization in Bangladesh. For the past few decades, numerous studies attempted to explore the relative importance of understanding job satisfaction. Realizing the need to sustain in the banking industry, this study was conducted for exploring the antecedents to the strengthening of job satisfaction. This report is designed for identifying the “Motivational factors influencing on job satisfaction: A case study on private banking sector in Bangladesh.” It is a descriptive study based on the primary and secondary data. Five Private Commercial Banks namely NRBC Bank Ltd. (8 respondent), NCC Bank Ltd. (8 respondent), One Bank Ltd. (8 respondent), Mercantile Bank Ltd. (8 respondent), Islami Bank Ltd. (8 respondent) are considered to conduct the study. 40 sample sizes are dispersed to collect the data, for the consequence of the study researcher considered some factors. Moreover, those factors are taken under the close ended questionnaire and find out the data from sample and to analyze the quantitative data, the researcher explored the internal structure and measurement by using percentage format and tabulation form. Researcher has used five likert scales for rating employee’s job satisfaction. Then researcher has calculated the percentage of each question answer and find out the result. Aggregately 47% of the employees are highly satisfied and it is the highest portion of employees on the level of job satisfaction. Very dissatisfied portion is lowest. Therefore, it can say that most of the private commercial bank employees are satisfied on their job. After considering above factors researcher identify that Salary structure, Management policy and Job environment  are motivated private bank employees more than other factors and researcher recommend that private bank authority should be more concentration on the above factors those make their employee more satisfied towards their job and reduce the tendency of  switching over.     Impact of transformational leadership, human capital, and job satisfaction on organizational performance in the manufacturing industry

    This study aims to examine the factors that affect organizational performance in the manufacturing industry of Bangladesh. This study identifies transformational leadership, human capital, and job satisfaction as significant determinants of organizational performance. The analysis focused on the employees of diverse manufacturing organizations in Bangladesh treated as the targeted population. The data collection was conducted using a survey methodology, wherein a questionnaire was distributed to the participants via postal mail along with a cover letter to enhance comprehension. The ultimate sample consisted of 294 participants, obtained from a pool of 400 individuals who were sent survey questionnaires. The response rate for the survey was 73.5%. Furthermore, a significance level of 5% was employed to assess the hypotheses, and the data pertaining to the research objective of this study were analyzed using SPSS software. The study results indicate that organizational performance is significantly influenced by transformational leadership, human capital, and job satisfaction. These three independent variables explain (R2) 59.6% variance in organizational performance. It is also found that transformational leadership (β-value = 0.443) has the highest impact on the organizational performance of manufacturing firms. This study provides implications for organizational management to improve long-term organizational performance

    The NANOGrav 15-year Data Set: Observations and Timing of 68 Millisecond Pulsars

    We present observations and timing analyses of 68 millisecond pulsars (MSPs) comprising the 15-year data set of the North American Nanohertz Observatory for Gravitational Waves (NANOGrav). NANOGrav is a pulsar timing array (PTA) experiment that is sensitive to low-frequency gravitational waves. This is NANOGrav's fifth public data release, including both "narrowband" and "wideband" time-of-arrival (TOA) measurements and corresponding pulsar timing models. We have added 21 MSPs and extended our timing baselines by three years, now spanning nearly 16 years for some of our sources. The data were collected using the Arecibo Observatory, the Green Bank Telescope, and the Very Large Array between frequencies of 327 MHz and 3 GHz, with most sources observed approximately monthly. A number of notable methodological and procedural changes were made compared to our previous data sets. These improve the overall quality of the TOA data set and are part of the transition to new pulsar timing and PTA analysis software packages. For the first time, our data products are accompanied by a full suite of software to reproduce data reduction, analysis, and results. Our timing models include a variety of newly detected astrometric and binary pulsar parameters, including several significant improvements to pulsar mass constraints. We find that the time series of 23 pulsars contain detectable levels of red noise, 10 of which are new measurements.     Profitability Analysis and Input Use Efficiency of Maize Cultivation in Selected Areas of Bangladesh

    Maize farmers in Bangladesh are unaware of the benefits of maize cultivation due to a lack of information and concept generation. The objectives of this study were to estimate the cost and return of maize cultivation; assess the input use efficiency of maize cultivation for marginal, small, and medium maize production to address the problems; and suggest policy recommendations. The study was conducted in six villages in the Chuadanga district in Bangladesh. Data were collected by using an interview schedule from the purposively selected 80 respondents during 1–30 June 2018. After analyzing the data, the total cost of production was Tk. 124,495, Tk. 134,335, and Tk. 140,579 for marginal, small, and medium maize production, respectively. Per hectare gross return was Tk. 213,997, Tk. 204,972, and Tk. 197,163, and per hectare gross margin was Tk. 120,478, Tk. 104,748, and Tk. 92,516. Net return was calculated by deducting the gross cost from the gross return, and these were Tk. 89,502, Tk. 70,637, and Tk. 56,584. The benefit–cost ratio was 1.72, 1.53, and 1.40 for marginal, small, and medium maize production, respectively. From Cobb–Douglas production function analysis, it was observed that the coefficients of land preparation cost, irrigation cost, urea, and MoP cost were significant at different levels of probability for marginal, small, and medium maize production, and the coefficients of human labor cost, seed and pesticide used was not significant while the coefficients of TSP was negative and significant. This study also identified some of the problems associated with maize production. The findings revealed that the high price of inputs was the most acute problem, followed by a lack of technical knowledge and shortage of human labor at the critical stage, and declining soil fertility was the last obstacle that stood in the way of maize production in the study area

    Impact of Strategic Locations on Customer Dynamics in Business Outlets: A Case by Observation Method

    This paper investigated the impact of strategic location, a retailer's most expensive and long-term marketing mix choice, on customer dynamics. The researchers used two aspects of retail location to estimate consumer spending at a multinational café franchisee in the metropolitan area of Malaysian capital. A qualitative observation method has been applied to collect the data and analyzed it systematically. Several factors including proximity to customers, i.e. trip times, and closeness to other shops, i.e. agglomeration are measured. Both are key indicators of customer spending and, as a result, revenue for the business. Furthermore, across retail forms, location effects are diverse and frequently asymmetric. Rush hour times to a retailer's general outlet have a significantly larger effect on customer dynamics than they do on other outlets, according to the findings. Retailers are increasingly focusing on providing a better consumer experience. However, there has been a scarcity of comparable academic study on the subject. The researchers addressed particular factors in this study, emphasizing those that need further investigation

    Job satisfaction is a common issue in banks throughout the world. For the past couple of decades, various studies endeavored to investigate the relative significance of understanding job satisfaction. The employer of banks has given importance on job satisfaction of employees in order to remain competitive. In the perspective of Bangladesh, the present scenario of employees’ job satisfaction is appalling. The employers of commercial banks have little attention toward the job satisfaction of their employees. Thus, it is necessary to make sure and improve job satisfaction of employees to benefit employees and organization. This study has been conducted with the aim of identifying factors of job satisfaction in commercial banks. Employees from commercial banks have been selected as respondents on the basis of simple random sampling technique. Initially, reliability test has been conducted in determining the factors of job satisfaction. Then, factor analysis has been carried out to identify the factors by analyzing data and interpret the findings. Five factors have been found from the factor analysis namely managerial support, training and career development, salary and benefits, work environment and hour, and coworker relationship. The cumulative variance of these five factors is 70.186% which indicates that five factors are mostly influential on job satisfaction of employees in commercial banks. In this way, commercial banks are able to increase employees’ job satisfaction and employees’ inspiration by working on these five factors for achieving its ultimate success

    The compensation system, employee motivation, and employee satisfaction have received much attention from academics for many years. Existing research, however, does not yet detail the mediation effect of employee motivation on the relationship between the entire compensation system and employee satisfaction. The study explores the influence of the compensation structure on employee satisfaction using employee motivation as mediation. This research embraced a quantitative design, positivism paradigm, deductive approach, and explanatory research. Cross-sectional data from 100 employees were drawn with a random sampling technique using a self-administered survey questionnaire. First, in sequence of analysis, descriptive statistics were conducted. After that, a reliability test was used to test internal consistency. Finally, a correlation test, direct effect, indirect effect, and total effect were used to test the hypotheses at the 0.05 level while analyzing the data. The findings show that the compensation system has a favorable impact on employee satisfaction by partially mediating motivation. Concurrently, this study establishes awareness intending to revise a robust compensation strategy so that employee morale, engagement will increase and turnover will reduce. The study outcomes will assist policymakers in improving the situation of the existing workforce in insurance companies and other financial companies in Bangladesh

    Factors influencing job satisfaction of private commercial bank- employees in Bangladesh

    This paper seeks to determine, explore and examine the factors affecting the job satisfaction of private commercial bank-employees in Bangladesh. A qualitative research design was employed to collect data from bank employees (n = 5) through in-depth semi-structured interviews and a focus group discussion (n=5). For the validity and reliability of the tool, the interview protocol was checked, discussed, refined and finalized. A thematic analysis was used to extract themes and subthemes that identifies the influ- encing factors for job satisfaction of private commercial bank employees and their attitudes towards satisfaction. Overall, the findings show that, employees have positive attitudes about their job because of enjoying some determinants of job satisfaction such as working environment, interpersonal relation- ship, financial remuneration, promotion and training and development facilities. The study discusses practical implications as well as future research direction. Therefore, it can be concluded that the re- spective bank authorities should be of highly concerned as to increase the values/standards of the job satisfaction determinants which have positive impact on the overall job satisfaction

    Understanding the COVID-19 Pandemic’s Impact on E-Learner Satisfaction at the Tertiary Level

    E-learning has recently gained considerable interest among stakeholders, including educators, students, and policymakers. During the pandemic, organized online learning is critical to an effective e-learning system because it helps both teaching and learning. Thus, the current study intends to explore the factors contributing to e-learners’ satisfaction during the COVID-19 pandemic. A questionnaire survey was conducted to gather data from 650 university students selected through convenience sampling. The data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The factors essential to boosting e-learner satisfaction were identified using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Frequency distribution and percentages were used to identify the demographic characteristics of respondents, and a reliability test was conducted to test the internal consistency of the data. This study employed structural equation modeling (SEM) to trace the relationship between the six independent variables and e-learner satisfaction. Regression results revealed that psychological factors, educational materials and design, access to technological devices, instructor attributes, and perceptions and expectations significantly influence e-learner satisfaction. However, students’ engagement had no significant influence on the same. Because, most respondents had a clear preference for physical learning. The findings of this study will help educationists and policymakers take necessary steps in enhancing learners’ satisfaction and improving their academic performance
