Fading-Resilient Super-Orthogonal Space-Time Signal Sets: Can Good Constellations Survive in Fading?
In this correspondence, first-tier indirect (direct) discernible
constellation expansions are defined for generalized orthogonal designs. The
expanded signal constellation, leading to so-called super-orthogonal codes,
allows the achievement of coding gains in addition to diversity gains enabled
by orthogonal designs. Conditions that allow the shape of an expanded
multidimensional constellation to be preserved at the channel output, on an
instantaneous basis, are derived. It is further shown that, for such
constellations, the channel alters neither the relative distances nor the
angles between signal points in the expanded signal constellation.Comment: 10 pages, 0 figures, 2 tables, uses IEEEtran.cls, submitted to IEEE

The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the global economy with implications on the Romanian economy
In this article, we set out to highlight the effects generated by this health crisis and the measures imposed by governments to stop it. First of all, we shall highlight the effects that this pandemic had globally and then highlight the economic effects of COVID-19 at the level of the Romanian economy. It will be found that service-oriented economies, as well as the Romanian economy, are more affected by this pandemic, given the fact that this crisis generates side effects in supply chains. Therefore, the countries most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic are those dependent on foreign trade
Aspects regarding the economic transition of Romania
The purpose of this article is to briefly present the actions taken in Romania's economic transition from a centralized to a market economy and to explain why and where it went wrong. Wrong decisions taken in the transition process will be highlighted, while noting that measures to implement conditions conducive to the functioning of the free market, from macroeconomic stabilization, private sector development, restructuring of the national production system or the formulation and implementation of appropriate social reforms, found a marginal place in the execution of the governing program. Despite the fact that this process has already begun more than 30 years ago, there are voices claiming that this process has not yet been completed. This is because, although a transition to last a short time was expected, domestic and international social, economic and political events extended the period of uncertainty, with institutional reform being difficult to achieve. All these aspects determined us to look for the answer to the question: Where was wrong that this transition is not yet complete and when will the transition of Romania to a truly functional and wealth-generating market economy be completed
Swallowing Disorders in Cervical Facial Tumors
We review current state of the art protocols on swallowing disorders associated to cervical facial tumors. The clinician needs to translate physiology notions to bedside diagnosis. Facing such a case the ENT surgeon must follow several key steps: thorough history taking, barium transit, endoscopy evaluation of swallowing, high resolution diagnosis imaging. Afterwards surgical treatment plan should take into consideration the need to careful dissection of vascular and nervous structures. Dysphagia may present from initial diagnosis or after surgical resection of the tumor or during radiation and chemotherapy. We discuss the use of various staging scales or questionnaires for assessing quality of life. We illustrate the importance of swallowing disorders management with various cases of tumors at the level of skull base, pharynx, salivary glands, larynx, esophagus, etc. There are various solutions for dysphagia ranging from nasogastric feeding tube placement to percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy to specially designed exercises. Sometimes the surgeon neglects these disorders and focuses on airway management. However, the rule should be to encourage swallowing as soon as possible after surgery. A good nutritional status is necessary for a positive prognosis in swallowing disorders. Team effort in tertiary oncology units is the key in supporting such complex cases
OPENING OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS TOWARDS PROVISIONAL INFORMATION
The relevance of accounting information in making effective decisions cannot be reduced only to the retrodiction function. It should help users to evaluate past, present and future events. In this respect, there can be accepted the predictive function of accounting information in forecasting the financial position and performance, and the treasury of the company. To have predictive value, such information must be in the form of explicit forecasts through the provisional accounts as constructed in the present study.forecast, treasury, payments, asset, expenses, income, equity, liabilities
The business cycle in the representation of Robert E. Lucas, Jr.
In various forms, economists are still taking sustained action to find specific answers to questions related to the issue of economic fluctuations. In this context of continuing concerns, both the "old" classics and the "new" classics have made substantial progress in their own theories of the business cycle. If, in order to explain the economic fluctuations, the old classics based their theory on non-governmental intervention as well as on the flexibility of prices, wages and interests, the new classics transpose the same problem through a reference, mainly, to technological disturbances, information asymmetry, as well as to real business cycles. In general terms, it can be argued that the new classics continue to believe that the business cycle can be understood in an equilibrium-oriented market model, thus maintaining the classical equilibrium model. This study represents a foray into the history of classical economic thinking, providing a current perspective on the main research directions of the new classical school in the field of business cycles in relation to the contributions made by economist Robert E.
