The environmental impact of the reconstruction and development of the coastal marine transport infrastructure

The coastal marine transport is one of the important components defining development of all Black Sea coast of Russia. Questions of need of restoration of coastal passenger traffic within the coast of Greater Sochi in connection with intensive development of tourism in Krasnodar Region of Russia and the questions of the organization of the transport communication between a coastal towns and settlements are considered. Need of further implementation of the program of reconstruction and construction of port points (moorings) and objects of coastal transport infrastructure in the Sochi region and in all Black Sea coast of Russia is shown. The analysis of a problem of environmental protection, which can arise at implementation of the project of reconstruction and development of coastal sea transport infrastructure in the Sochi region, is made. Possible ways of their solution for reduction of impacts on the environment are proposed. Introduction of the program of development of objects of coastal transport in the region, taking into account environment will contribute to sustainable development of the region

Water quality management in the coastal zone of the sea

Sea resort areas are currently one of the most successful developing regions. At the same time, the ecological condition of such regions is important, especially those that specialize in the provision of recreational and tourist services. The quality of coastal water resources played an important role in the sustainable development of those coastal tourist areas. Analysis of physical factors of water exchange was carried out and assessment of water resources quality of the coastal zone of the sea was made, including in closed and semi-enclosed water areas. It has been shown that water exchange is the most important factor in the management of the quality of marine waters of partially enclosed coastal areas. The results of the studies made it possible to assess the circulation of coastal marine waters and the change in certain indicators of water quality, including in the presence of various coastal protection facilities, based on 0-dimensional and system-dynamic models. The results obtained can be used to predict the state of water resources in coastal territories

Examples of complex measures to improve water exchange in marina

The modeling of the marina and coastal structures near the Anapa city on Black sea coast of Russia have been carried out. The optimal configuration of the protected breakwaters and other hydrotechnical struc- tures are chosen for protecting of the marina area in the Anapa region. This configuration protect the marina from incoming waves impact and guaran- tee the need water exchange. A flow, induced by breaking wave, is consid- ered as a main factor of the water exchange. Represented results of re- searches and the variant of engineering decision in sea coastal zone is pos- sible to consider as attempt of management by coastal processes on rather complex sites of the coast with the joint decision about engineering re- quirements of an object, management of the water quality in the coastal zone of the sea and choice of optimum variants with the least of influence on an environment
