Table_1_The value of multiparametric MRI radiomics in predicting IDH genotype in glioma before surgery.docx
ObjectiveTo explore the value of multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) radiomics in the preoperative prediction of isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) genotype for gliomasMethodsThe preoperative routine MRI sequences of 114 patients with pathologically confirmed grade II-IV gliomas were retrospectively analysed. All patients were randomly divided into training cohort(n=79) and validation cohort(n=35) in the ratio of 7:3. After feature extraction, we eliminated covariance by calculating the linear correlation coefficients between features, and then identified the best features using the F-test. The Logistic regression was used to build the radiomics model and the clinical model, and to build the combined model. Assessment of these models by subject operating characteristic (ROC) curves, area under the curve (AUC), sensitivity and specificity.ResultsThe multiparametric radiomics model was built by eight selected radiomics features and yielded AUC values of 0.974 and 0.872 in the training and validation cohorts, which outperformed the conventional models. After incorporating the clinical model, the combined model outperformed the radiomics model, with AUCs of 0.963 and 0.892 for the training and validation cohorts.ConclusionRadiomic models based on multiparametric MRI sequences could help to predict glioma IDH genotype before surgery.</p
Binding and Selectivity of Essential Amino Acid Guests to the Inverted Cucurbit[7]uril Host
Interactions
between inverted cucurbit[7]Âuril (iQ[7]) and essential
amino acids have been studied at pH = 7.0 by 1H NMR spectroscopy,
electronic absorption spectroscopy, isothermal titration calorimetry,
and mass spectrometry. The interactions can be divided into three
binding types at pH = 7.0. Experimental results from the present study
showed that the host displays a strong binding to the aromatic amino
acids, Trp and Phe, and the guests of Lys, Arg, and His lie outside
the cavity portal of the host. Meanwhile, the alkyl moieties of the
guests Met, Leu, and Ile were accommodated within the cavity of iQ[7],
but there was no significant interaction between iQ[7] and Thr or
Val. The complexation behavior of iQ[7] with essential amino acids
was explored at pH = 3, and the binding of Lys, Arg, and His revealed
an unexpected behavior, with their side chains located in the cavity
of iQ[7], whereas those of the aromatic Trp and Phe were deeper within
the iQ[7] cavity. The alkyl side chains of the guests Met, Leu, Ile,
Thr, and Val were also located inside the iQ[7] cavity and formed
the host–guest complexes
Table_1_Estimation of soybean yield parameters under lodging conditions using RGB information from unmanned aerial vehicles.docx
The estimation of yield parameters based on early data is helpful for agricultural policymakers and food security. Developments in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) platforms and sensor technology help to estimate yields efficiency. Previous studies have been based on less cultivars (2=0.66 rRMSE=32.62%) and validation (R2=0.50, rRMSE=43.71%) datasets. In conclusion, these results provide insights into both best estimate period selection and early yield estimation under lodging condition when using remote sensing.</p
