Watergate and the Law Schools
The misdeeds of the Watergate lawyers involve more than image tarnishing. A large number of the showcase successes for the profession have acted unethically, dishonestly, corruptly and criminally. But out of the debris of these fallen idols an opportunity for professional reform, more favorable than perhaps at any other time in our history, has arisen
The Problematic Provision and Protection of Health and Welfare Benefits for Retirees
This Article explores the conceptual underpinnings of the law governing health and welfare benefits of retired employees. The author begins by discussing bargaining rights and duties and examining the legal consequences of an employer modification of bargained-for retiree benefits. The author argues that there is no legal prohibition on modification or termination without proof of a contractual commitment that gives the retiree a vested right to benefits. The author concludes that, until Congress changes the law, a presumption against contractual vesting of retiree benefits should be applied and extrinsic evidence should be admitted to rebut this presumption

The proposed A.B.A. Code of Judicial Conduct, if widely adopted and enforced, will be a significant step toward this goal
Molecular Heterogeneity and Response to Neoadjuvant Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 Targeting in CALGB 40601, a Randomized Phase III Trial of Paclitaxel Plus Trastuzumab With or Without Lapatinib
Dual human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) targeting can increase pathologic complete response rates (pCRs) to neoadjuvant therapy and improve progression-free survival in metastatic disease. CALGB 40601 examined the impact of dual HER2 blockade consisting of trastuzumab and lapatinib added to paclitaxel, considering tumor and microenvironment molecular features
