    We provide an intrinsic description of NN-super \RS s and TNTN-\SR\ surfaces. Semirigid surfaces occur naturally in the description of topological gravity as well as topological supergravity. We show that such surfaces are obtained by an integrable reduction of the structure group of a complex supermanifold.     Exposure of vanadium as a factor of adverse activation of lymphocytes

    We have estimated effect of vanadium influence on apoptosis of peripheral blood lymphocytes among workers. Immunologic assessment have allowed establishing that people working under the conditions of vanadium exposure have significantly increased quantity of annexin-positive cells indicating apoptosis in comparison with a reference group of people. We have identified statistically significant adverse mobilization of lymphocytes in respondents who have been working under conditions of the hazardous industry over 10 years.     Tuberculosis is nowadays one of the most actual problems of world public health, service. According to the data of WHO, one third of world's population is infected, with tuberculosis microbacteria. Every year 2-3 millions of people die because of tuberculosis. During last years in Russia tuberculosis morbidity increased 2,3 times, mortality - 1,9 times and prevalence - 4 %. Aggravation of epidemiological situation on tuberculosis is characterized by increase of morbidity among all age groups and especially among the children. In Irkutsk region epidemiological situation on tuberculosis is still intensive. Main reasons of unsatisfactory indices of tuberculosis in Irkutsk region are: presence of significant reservoir of tuberculosis infection among the population. of the region; significant level of prevalence of HIV-infection; unsatisfactory material and technical base of antituberculous institutions of the region; personnel deficiency in antituberculous institutions; insufficient level of preventive measures in foci of tuberculosis infection; absence of modern, medical informational system in antituberculous institutions of the region. To optimize the situation at the development of antituberculous measures it is necessary to take into account regional peculiarities of epidemic situation, to realize control and. organization of an aid. for children from the foci of tuberculosis infection and. to carry out controlled chemical prophylaxis in sanatorium conditions

    A RARE CASE OF MAXILLARY SINUS METASTASIS OF RENAL CELL CARCINOMA

    The paper describes a rare case of maxillary sinus metastasis of renal cell carcinoma in a 50-year-old man 7 years after nephrectomy. The tumor appeared as bleeding leading to anemia. The diagnostic difficulties associated with differences in X-ray and biopsy morphological data are considered. A correct diagnosis could be established during planned histological examination of the removed tumor. Adjuvant immunotherapy was performed. Examination following 8 postoperative months revealed no signs of progressive disease. The authors give a literature review

    AbstractLynx1 regulates synaptic plasticity in the brain by regulating nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs). It is not known to which extent Lynx1 can bind to endogenous nAChR subunits in the brain or how this interaction is affected by Alzheimer's disease pathology. We apply affinity purification to demonstrate that a water-soluble variant of human Lynx1 (Ws-Lynx1) isolates Ξ±3, Ξ±4, Ξ±5, Ξ±6, Ξ±7, Ξ²2, and Ξ²4 nAChR subunits from human and rat cortical extracts, and rat midbrain and olfactory bulb extracts, suggesting that Lynx1 forms complexes with multiple nAChR subtypes in the human and rodent brain. Incubation with Ws-Lynx1 decreases nicotine-mediated extracellular signal–regulated kinase phosphorylation in PC12 cells and striatal neurons, indicating that binding of Ws-Lynx1 is sufficient to inhibit signaling downstream of nAChRs. The effect of nicotine in PC12 cells is independent of Ξ±7 or Ξ±4Ξ²2 nAChRs, suggesting that Lynx1 can affect the function of native non-Ξ±7, non-Ξ±4Ξ²2 nAChR subtypes. We further show that Lynx1 and oligomeric Ξ²-amyloid1–42 compete for binding to several nAChR subunits, that Ws-Lynx1 prevents Ξ²-amyloid1–42–induced cytotoxicity in cortical neurons, and that cortical Lynx1 levels are decreased in a transgenic mouse model with concomitant Ξ²-amyloid and tau pathology. Our data suggest that Lynx1 binds to multiple nAChR subtypes in the brain and that this interaction might have functional and pathophysiological implications in relation to Alzheimer's disease
