The Left-Right SU(3)(L)xSU(3)(R)xU(1)(X) Model with Light, keV and Heavy Neutrinos

We construct a full left-right model for the electroweak interactions based on the $SU(3)_{L}\otimes SU(3)_{R}\otimes U(1)_{X}$ gauge symmetry. The fermion content of the model is such that anomaly cancellation restricts the number of families to be a multiple of three. One of the most important features of the model is the joint presence of three light active neutrinos, three additional neutrinos at keV mass scale, and six heavy ones with masses around\textbf{$10^{11}$} GeV. They form a well-motivated part of the spectrum in the sense they address challenging problems related to neutrino oscillation, warm dark matter, and baryogenesis through leptogenesis.Comment: 11 pages. Crystal ball, virtual gallery C reation system for immersive environments

This paper presents a concept and a tool suite for authoring, configuring, organizing and displaying 3D virtual galleries, depicting multimedia content, like art, picture, movie or any other kind of media, which are appropriate for large-scale immersive virtual environments such as the CAVE™. Percolation of strings and the first RHIC data on multiplicity and tranverse momentum distributions

The dependence of the multiplicity on the number of collisions and the transverse momentum distribution for central and peripheral Au-Au collisions are studied in the model of percolation of strings relative to the experimental conditions at RHIC. Neutrino Decay and Neutrinoless Double Beta Decay in a 3-3-1 Model

In this work we show that the implementation of spontaneous breaking of the lepton number in the 3-3-1 model with right-handed neutrinos gives rise to fast neutrino decay with majoron emission and generates a bunch of new contributions to the neutrinoless double beta decay.Comment: Version accepted for publication in the Phys. Avaliação de combinações híbridas de melancia no Submédio São Francisco.

As cultivares de melancia no Brasil apresentam frutos de bom teor de açúcar, mas são pouco produtivas, suscetíveis a doenças (Sphaerotheca fuliginea, Didimella bryoniae e viroses) e têm frutos grandes. Considerando a existência de linhas diplóides e tetraplóides com boa homozigose e que a resistência é monogênica e dominante, foram obtidas combinações híbridas diplóides e triplóides as quais foram avaliadas em 2001 e 2002 no Campo Experimental de Bebedouro, em Petrolina-PE, utilizando-se irrigação por gotejamento no espaçamento de 3 m entre fileiras e 0,80 m entre plantas. Na colheita foram avaliados produção por planta e peso de fruto (kg), teor de sólidos solúveis (°Brix), ocamento da polpa e número de sementes perfeitas nas ombinações triplóides. A maioria das combinações híbridas apresentou mais de dez quilogramas por planta, frutos de 4 a 12 kg e teor de sólidos solúveis acima de 10 °Brix e e, portanto, muito semelhantes às testemunhas. No entanto, algumas combinações híbridas apresentaram ocamento da polpa e sementes perfeitas (combinações triplóides) necessitando continuar a seleção para esses dois caracteres.Suplemento.Edição de Resumos expandidos e palestras do 43. Particle production azimuthal asymmetries in a clustering of color sources model

The collective interactions of many partons in the first stage of the collisions is the usual accepted explanation of the sizable elliptical flow. The clustering of color sources provides a framework of partonic interactions. In this scheme, we show a reasonable agreement with RHIC data for pT<1.5 GeV/c in both the dependence of v2 transverse momentum and in the shape of the nuclear modified factor on the azimuthal angle for different centralities. We show the predictions at LHC energies for Pb-Pb. In the case of proton-proton collisions a sizable v2 is obtained at this energy.Comment: To appear in Journal of Physics
