Sanitasi Makanan Minuman dan Pemeriksaan Rectal Swab Penjamah Makanan pada Hotel Arya Duta Medan dan Hotel The Palace Inn Tahun 2013
According to Minister of RI No.1098/MENKES/VII/2003, about sanitary hygiene requirements of the food and restaurant, food handlers are people who are directly related to food and equipment ranging from preparation, cleaning, processing, transporting to the presentation. Sanitation is an important part of food processing that must be performed well. A food handlers must be of sound mind should be spiritual, not suffering from infectious diseases or as a carrier. One method of medical examination of food handlers is to use a rectal swab test is the examination by smear at around the anus and perianal around. Rectal swab on a 5-star and 2-star hotel to be done, because the 5-star and 2-star hotel providing accommodation services, food and beverage services, and other services for the public. The purpose of the research to find out the drinks and food sanitation hygiene inspection results rectal swab on food handlers at Hotel Arya Duta Medan and The Palace Inn. Type a descriptive study, a population of 12 people. The sampling technique is the total sampling. The results found that the food and beverage hygiene sanitation both at 100 %, of rectal swab for food handlers negative, age < 30 years 11 ( 91.67 % ), 31-50 years 1 person ( 8.33 % ), Education Academy / PT as much as 9 people ( 75 % ) and high School / equivalent 3 people ( 25 % ), male gender 12 people ( 100 % ), food handlers course yes 10 people ( 83.33 % ) and 2 ( 16.67 % ), long working > 4 years 8 people ( 66.67 % ) and 1-4 years of 4 people ( 33.33 % ), routine periodic health examinations performed 12 people. Suggested for hotel manager who becomes the object of research in the management of beverage and food sanitation inspection of the rectal swabs of food handlers in order to maintain the quality and sanitary quality of foods and beverages that meet the health requirements
Hubungan Karakteristik Pengetahuan Sikap pada Pembeli dan Pedagang dengan Penggunaan Kantong Plastik di Pasar Tradisional Firdaus Kecamatan Medan Tembung Tahun 2014
Plastic bags are often used to bring some daily necessities. The plastic bags USAge will continually impact on environmental pollution because the plastic bag takes 500-1000 years to be completely degraded by soil microorganisms. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics knowledge correlation and attitudes of consumers and merchants with the USAge of plastic bags in firdaus traditional market subdistric medan tembung in 2014. Type of research is analityc survey with a cross sectional study design. Population in this study are all consumers who shop and merchants who sell in firdaus traditional market subdistric medan tembung. Total sample is 60 peoples. Technical sampling is using purposive sampling and though of data obtained process using the chi square test and Fisher's exact. The results obtained by the existence of the correlation between occupation (p= 0,001) knowledge (p= 0,034) and attitudes (p= 0,037) with USAge of plastic bags in firdaus tradisional market subdistric medan tembung. Based on research, suggested that the application of the costs to the plastic bags provided by the company or company who produce plastic bags to consumer who USAge plastic bags. their campaign activities, counseling and other information media to increase knowledge, attitudes and public awareness to reduce or limit the USAge of plastic bags and start to not use plastic bags in order to USAge plastic bags can be reduced and the environmental pollution caused by plastic bags can be minimized and for respondents who have starts reduce, reuse, and limit the USAge of plastic bags to retain concern for the environment
Partial Purification of Extracellular Amylase From Halotolerant Actinomycetes Streptomyces brasiliensis MML2028
Amylase is considered as an industrially important enzyme as it occupies the most important function in the food, paper, and pharmaceutical industries. The present study is concerned with the optimization, production and partial purification of halotolerant amylase from newly isolated Streptomyces brasiliensis MML2028, from Kelambakkam salt pan, Tamil Nadu, India. The primary screening was carried out by well diffusion assay to find the zone of lysis. The assay was observed for each media optimization by measuring the release of reducing sugar (RS) by the 3,5 dinitro salicylic acid (DNS) method and expressed in the international unit (UI). Ammonium sulphate precipitation was used to partially purify the enzyme and then lyophilized. SDS-PAGE was performed to identify the molecular weight. The production medium was optimized with 1% of the starch substrate, 3% of NaCl at 24˚C and pH 9, and incubation of 9 days. The total activity of the partially purified α-amylase was observed to be 1806.9U/mL. The partially purified enzyme was more active with 3% NaCl, pH 8, and 24˚C which is known to be a halotolerant alkaline α-amylase. The enzyme showed tolerance towards magnesium, manganese ions, Triton x-100, and urea. De-inking of α-amylase showed good results proving that the enzyme activity is more efficient. Hence, the alkaliphilic amylase from Halotolerant actinomycetes S. Brasiliensis MML2028 could be a better microbial source that can be used in many industries, especially in paper and textiles
Resource Management in Fog Networking of Cloud Computing using KNN Algorithm
It is necessary to deploy any application in Cloud environment to reduce the investment cost, maintenance cost and licence of hardware/software. Keeping these benefits, it is advised to go for cloud computing environment for any application deployment. The major challenge in this environment is fault tolerance of resources to support for continuous availability of resources to client for working. Especially in IoT applications, we use Fog networking connecting to cloud computing. In this scenario, it is advised to use KNN (K- Nearest Neighbour) resource identification and allocation algorithm to increase the throughput to user requirement. We are presenting an approach to allocate the required resources with optimal distance resource allocation, so as to improve the throughput of user requirement
