Quantum reading of digital memory with non-Gaussian entangled light
It has been shown recently (Phys. Rev. Lett. 106, 090504 (2011)) that
entangled light with Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) correlations retrieves
information from digital memory better than any classical light. In identifying
this, a model of digital memory with each cell consisting of reflecting medium
with two reflectivities (each memory cell encoding the binary numbers 0 or 1)
is employed. The readout of binary memory essentially corresponds to
discrimination of two Bosonic attenuator channels characterized by different
reflectivities. The model requires an entire mathematical paraphernalia of
continuous variable Gaussian setting for its analysis, when arbitrary values of
reflectivities are considered. Here we restrict to a basic quantum read-out
mechanism with non-Gaussian entangled states of light, with the binary channels
to be discriminated being ideal memory characterized by reflectivity one i.e.,
an identity channel and thermal noise channel, where the signal light
illuminating the memory location gets completely lost (zero reflectivity) and
only a white thermal noise hitting the upper side of the memory reaches the
decoder. We compare the quantum reading efficiency of entangled light with any
classical source of light in this model. We show that entangled transmitters
offer better reading performance than any classical transmitters of light in
the regime of low signal intensity.Comment: 7 pages, 6 figures, To appear in Phys. Rev.
16TH CENTURY ENGLISH POETRY:CRITICAL EVALUATION.
It was the renaissance in the sixteenth century which gave birth to a variety of style and encouraged experimentation in English literature. For the first time the poets experimented with Italian style and created sonnets. The term modern was never used before, however with the change in the structure and form, the term “Modern English Poetry” was used to identify these newly developed poems. Courtly poets Wyatt and Surrey introduced new style, rhythm and form in English poetry which was identified as the modern English poetry since they were the first reformers in English metre and style and changed the traditional style. The essay here will study about the birth of modern English poetry and how it evolved during the age in the expert hands of Wyatt, Surrey, Spenser, Shakespeare, Sidney etc. It will further highlight the characteristic of the modern poetry of the period and highlight the fact that for the first time the greatest playwright Shakespeare wrote sonnets under the influence of Italian literature and others paved way for the heroic and epic poetry for the poets of the subsequent age. While lyrical style was predominant, but not the only form of the era, the poets experimented with early blank verse and also introduced the epic form and the dramatic or conversational poetry by William Shakespeare, Edmund Spenser, John Donne and Phillip Sydney which were highly appreciated and read even today
A Study of Verbal Phrase Theory in Mannan Chinnandi's Narratives
Mannan Chinnandi's father Mudharsonai was the ruler of a small area called Vellalur (Vellalur is a town in Maellur taluka of Madurai district). Eghuvaka Nachia was born in the region of Sirukudi. Mudharsonai and Eghuvakka Nachiya get married. Both of them have a daughter named Karala Purantha Karuthavanam and twins named Peperumal and Chinnandi. Eghuvakka Nachiya's brothers give her some land as dowry during her marriage. Mudharsonai goes to cultivate the land given to him by his brothers-in-law. But the wives of his brothers-in-law prevents him to enter the land. Mudharsonai is killed by his younger brother-in-law. Eghuvaka Nachiya also dies after hearing about her husband's death. Karala Purantha raises her younger brother. His uncle was responsible for the death of his parents. Chinandi often clashes with his uncle’s family. He and his sister turn into a on the Madurai Alaghar temple hill. In the end, Peperumal destroys his uncle's family and turns him into stone next to his siblings. A. M. Sathyamurthy has published the story of Mannan Chinnandi. The purpose of this article is to explore the oral communication strategies learned in this story
ENHANCING THE REGIONAL MEDIUM STUDENTS VOCABULARY USING SELF DIRECTIVE LEARNING TECHNIQUES.
Learning vocabulary is one of the major problems for foreign and second language learners. It has been neglected or considered as a secondary emphasis in English as a Second Language and English as a Foreign Language programs. Since many researchers Twaddle, Wilkins and Judd claim that little importance has been given to vocabulary in the language class. Learning a language mainly involves learning its grammar, vocabulary, and how to use them in appropriate way. Vocabulary is an important component in leaning a language. Hill, said that “Vocabulary has long been considered an important element in language learning. It may be considered as „the building block to communication.” Wilkins states, “Without grammar very little can be conveyed, without vocabulary nothing can be conveyed”. All the statements mentioned above suggest that, words are identified as one of the essential components of a language, and essential for any form of communication to materialize either it is written or spoken
