He studied law and became a lawyer in Heilbronn. Later he moved to Stuttgart, where he became a founder of the Wuerttemberger Vereinsbank. He was also involved in many other banks and instrumental in providing capital to numerous enterprises, including Mercedes-Benz, BASF, Salzwerke Heilbronn and others. Steiner died in Stuttgart in 1903.Otto K.
