The links between BTexact Technologies and the Department of Computing Science at University College London are becomingincreasingly beneficial for the development of the middleware area for the management of programmable networks. This paperdescribes the work that has been done to date, and outlines the plans for future research

Lattice QCD Application Development within the US DOE Exascale Computing Project

    Get PDF
In October, 2016, the US Department of Energy launched the Exascale Computing Project, which aims to deploy exascale computing resources for science and engineering in the early 2020's. The project brings together application teams, software developers, and hardware vendors in order to realize this goal. Lattice QCD is one of the applications. Members of the US lattice gauge theory community with significant collaborators abroad are developing algorithms and software for exascale lattice QCD calculations. We give a short description of the project, our activities, and our plans.Comment: 35th International Symposium on Lattice Field Theory (Lattice 2017

rstream: Streams of Random Numbers for Stochastic Simulation

    Get PDF
The package rstream provides a unified interface to streams of random numbers for the R statistical computing language. Features are: * independent streams of random numbers * substreams * easy handling of streams (initialize, reset) * antithetic random variates The paper describes this packages and demonstrates an simple example the usefulness of this approach.Series: Preprint Series / Department of Applied Statistics and Data Processin

Specialized Web Portal for Solving Problems on Multiprocessor Computing Systems

A system for remote calculations called “Specialized web portal for solving problems on multiprocessor computing systems” has been developed and installed at the Department of Ill-Posed Problems of Analysis and Applications of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics UrB RAS. The parallel algorithms have been incorporated into this system to solve the inverse gravity problem of lateral density reconstruction, the structural inverse gravity and magnetic problem of the contact surfaces reconstruction, and solving SLAEs with block-tridiagonal matrices in geoelectrics problems
