Dynamic Analysis of Rotating Machines in MSC.ADAMS

    Get PDF
AbstractThe paper publishes a dynamical analysis of misalignment of rotating machines in programme for dynamic of systems of bodies MSC. ADAMS. There are two basic types of misalignment analysed, parallel and angular. In shaft support of virtual models of each type of misalignment, there are parameters as deflection, velocity and acceleration analysed. Symptoms of failure states will be presented in frequency spectrums processed by Fourier transformation

Time Average Synchronization in Thermoelastic Stress Analysis

AbstractThermoelastic stress analysis is noncontacting technique used to obtain stress field on the material surface by measuring changes of the surface temperature by infrared camera. Roughly 1MPa change in stress state causes a temperature change of 1 mK in steel. Because of extremely small temperature measurement it is necessary to reduce noise. Thermoelastic stress analysis expects adiabatic conditions so that the specimen is usually loaded by cyclic load. Lock-in principle is most frequently method used to extract signal from statistical noise. However, it is necessary to ensure a synchronization link between IR camera and loading machine. In the case of large displacement of the test object it is necessary to be eliminated. In the contribution is presented an algorithm which requires only knowledge of the temporal signal and identification of displacement by using Lock-in technology and time average synchronization to determine infrared field

Influence of imperfections on dynamic properties of oscillating rod

© 2020 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved. The paper deals with the analysis of the influence of boundary conditions on the dynamic properties of a mechanical system. The steel bar is fixed in one place so that it is inserted under the hydraulic press. The pressure force in the press changes and models the imperfect fixation of the bar. The effect of bond imperfection is evaluated based on rod vibration analysis. This problem is solved computationally, by FEM and the results are compared with experimental measurement

Analysis of bond behaviour in strengthened reinforced concrete beam with carbon fiber reinforced polymer lamella

    No full text
Carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) can be used to strengthen the reinforced concrete (RC) beams. The debonding is the main failure model and strengthening is limited. The paper deals with the finite element analysis of influence of CFRP strip on stress distribution in a steel reinforced concrete beam loaded by four-point bending on RC beam with and without CFRP lamella. Simulation of the delamination is modelled by a cohesion zone material model using ABAQUS and ANSYS software

The main purpose of paper is presented an innovative approach in the field of infrared thermal imaging and its integration into the area of engineering applications. Test specimens with different shapes have been chosen from steel material and they have been excitated with ultrasound. For obtain the results was used Lock-in method. Last part of the paper is a description of the results and most appropriate settings of measurement technique for applications with chosen material

The contribution to the modal analysis of the control system

    No full text
This article deals with the analysis of the suitability of using selected solution methodologies while taking into account the different degrees of simplification used. Three ways of determining the first frequency of the mechanism were presented on the lever mechanism of the control circuit. The solution is carried out analytically, then via a calculation model in the program on the dynamics of systems elements MSC ADAMS, and lastly, an experimental measurement was carried out

PROCESSING OF RESULTS FROM A THERMAL FEM ANALYSIS USING THE LOCK-IN METHOD AND COMPARISON WITH EXPERIMENT

This article dealt with the comparison of results obtained from an experiment and from the numerical thermal FEM analysis. Sample with defects were printed on a 3D printer. A thermal wave from the halogen lamp to excite the front surface of the sample was used in the next step and the response was measured by a thermal camera. After processing the data in the software DisplayIMG, a phase image was created representing the 2D image of the material at a certain depth under the surface of the model. Lock-in method was applied to the results from the numerical thermal FEM analysis and the phase image was created. The programs code were created in MATLAB for a 4 points, multiple points and differential lockin method which were compared with the results from the experiment

    No full text
In the solutions will be presented to the interaction of two bodies loaded with impact effects in the environment of software MSC. ADAMS. By performing a sensitivity analysis of the parameters influencing to the effects of impact and function parameters of impact will be obtained parameters for optimum setting MSC.ADAMS for acquirement feedback, as the most identical with reality
