According to numerous surveys food allergy affects up to 2–6% of population in different countries and varies due to numerous factors including the prevalence of helminths infestation. The food allergy prevalence data in Russia are based on official medical statistics. The study was performed as part of «The Prevalence, Cost and Basis of Food Allergy Across Europe» (EU funded project № FP6-2006-TTC-TU-5 Proposal 045879 EuroPrevall). The aim is to create the concept of food allergy in children in opisthorchiasis endemic area based on epidemiological study of the prevalence, risk factors and clinical features. The main objective of the study will be the working out of the food safety regulations. This article describes the study design and its methodology. Настоящая работа выполнена в рамках «Исследования распространенности, социально-экономического значения и основ пищевой аллергии в Европе» («The Prevalence, Cost and Basis of Food Allergy Across Europe»; грант VI рамочной программы Евросоюза № FP6-2006-TTC-TU-5 Proposal 045879 EuroPrevall).
ATOPIC DERMATITIS AMONG CHILDREN: ZONE OF CLINICAL SUPERVISION
The urgency of atopic dermatitis among children is defined not only the considerable spread of a disease and low quality of life along with this pathology, but above all by such disease peculiarities, as the firm growth of severe incapacitating forms, torpidity towards conventional therapy, continuously recurrent run. In spite of the above said, the regulatory documents still have no such a term, as «disease control», which is why, the objective of the atopic dermatitis therapy has not been defined yet. The absence of «disease control» criteria is accompanied by the incorrect relation between the «severity degree» and «exacerbation» of a disease. In this respect, the main tactics of a doctor, when treating atopic dermatitis, is currently just the therapy of exacerbations. Nevertheless, there are now pharmacotherapeutic modes, allowing one to considerably expand the zone of clinical atopic dermatitis supervision among children during prolonged preventive use.Key words: children, atopic dermatitis, treatment
PIMECROLIMUS (1% CREAM) IN TREATMENT OF ATOPIC DERMATITIS AMONG CHILDREN: EFFICIENCY AND SAFETY
The main objective for treatment of atopic dermatitis is to achieve the full control. Despite the fact that control fundamentals for treatment of atopic dermatitis among children are implemented in the clinical practice, it's practically impossible as of now to deem the control of a disease as satisfactory. Such a situation is due to two main reasons: for one thing, in 37,4% of cases the severity of a disease is incorrectly assessed, which entails the prescription of a therapy that is inadequate to the degree of clinical presentations; secondly, among both doctors and patients there is still a glucocorticoidophobia, which leads to application of medications with low efficiency profile in therapy and then due to no control of atopic deramatitis it justifies the necessity to prescribe peroral glucoacorticoids. in this respect, application of calcineurin inhibitors (pimecrolimus 1% cream — elidel) as a basic therapy may be a real solution to this problem for the children, suffering from mild and moderate atopic dermatitis, to achieve the longaterm control over the disease symptoms.Key words: atopic dermatitis, children, pimecrolimus, treatment, efficiency, safety
COMPARISON OF CLINICAL ACTIVITY OF PIMECROLIMUS IN PEDIATRIC PATIENTS WITH MILD AND MODERATE ATOPIC DERMATITIS
Atopic dermatitis (ad) is prevalent disease in younger children. Calcium inhibitor pimecrolimus (elidel, cream 1%) is the latest anti-inflammatory drug offered for management of ad. The activity of pimecrolimus was evaluated in open, prospective, randomized, comparison trial, on 60 children (age from 3 months to 7 years) with mild and moderate ad. Pimecrolimus was more effective in management of mild ad on the assumption of regular use of drug (TIS < 17), and topical corticosteroids were effective in patients with moderate ad.Key words: children, atopic dermatitis, pimecrolimus, topical corticosteroids, management

Activity of antioxidant enzymes in the skin during surgical wounds
Full-thickness skin wounds (460 mm2) in rats were associated with increased blood chemiluminescence and neutrophil infiltration of the wound tissue and surrounding skin (recorded by myeloperoxidase activity). Activities of glutathione peroxidase and glutathione S-transferase in the skin and wound tissue increased on days 4 and 8. A correlation was revealed between activities of these enzymes and myeloperoxidase activity. Activities of myeloperoxidase and catalase increased in patient's skin excised during plastic surgeries of more than 2.5 h duration. © Springer Science+Business Media, Inc. 2006

ANALYSIS OF АСТ ADHERENCE DURING PATIENT MANAGEMENT IN THE PRIMARY CARE
The article provides the data on the implementation of Childhood Asthma Control Test in the primary care. The authors showed the attitude of children, parents and doctors towards the questionnaire. They demonstrated dynamics of control over the disease assessed in ACT points. They found out that 45% of children, who received the combined therapy, may reveal the total control over asthma. For the very first time, they highlighted information on the arising difficulties during the work with ACT at the ambulatory stage.Key words: bronchial asthma, control, ACT
