    Exceptional point induced quantum phase synchronization and entanglement dynamics in mechanically coupled gain-loss oscillators

    The optomechanical cavity (OMC) system has been a paradigm in the manifestation of continuous variable quantum information over the past decade. This paper investigates how quantum phase synchronization relates to bipartite Gaussian entanglement in coupled gain-loss mechanical oscillators, where the gain and loss rates are engineered by driving the cavity with blue and red detuned lasers, respectively. We examine the role of exceptional point in a deterministic way of producing self-sustained oscillations that induce robust quantum correlations among quadrature fluctuations of the oscillators. Particularly, steady phase synchronization dynamics along with the entanglement phenomena are observed in the effective weak coupling regime above a critical driving power. These phenomena are further verified by observing the mechanical squeezing and phase space rotations of the Wigner distributions. Additionally, we discuss how the oscillators frequency mismatches and decoherence due to thermal phonons impact the system dynamics. These findings hold promise for applications in phonon-based quantum communication and information processing.Comment: 10 pages, 9 figure

    A CONTROLLED RELEASE MICROSPHERE FORMULATION OF AN ANTI-DIABETIC DRUG AND CHARACTERIZATION OF THE MICROSPHERE

    Objective: Here the objective of this study was to prepare and characterize sustained release metformin loaded microsphere formulation which was prepared by W1/O/W2 emulsion solvent evaporation technique.Methods: Guar gum and sodium alginate were used as a matrix building material, whereas ethyl cellulose was applied as a coating polymer. Here various formulations were prepared by changing the drug and guar gum ratio, and the subsequent drug entrapment efficiency (DEE) and drug release were compared and evaluated.Results: Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) studies revealed spherical particles with a smooth appearance. Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) showed there was no interaction between the ingredients in the final formulation. X-ray Diffraction (XRD) studies showed the emergence of polymorphic forms in the final formulation. The drug entrapment in the final drug loaded microsphere formulations was varied from 30-66.78%. The drug release studies showed the continuous release of the drug through twelve hours. The optimized formulation (f2) found to release 71.5% of drugs at the end of the 12th hour following zero order release kinetics.Conclusion: The increase in gum concentration in the W1 phase, which enhances viscosity in the W1 phase, resulting in an increase in the drug entrapment up to an optimum level and a decrease in the release rate. So, it can prolong the action. So by using this tool, we can say that metformin loaded microsphere formulation would be a suitable pharmaceutical formulation for the treatment of diabetic patients in modern drug therapy for its prolonged action. Â

    Effect of acyl chloride functionalized carbon black on mechanical and thermal properties of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene/polyaniline blend

    472-479Pristine Carbon Black (CB) has been first oxidised to introduce carboxylic acid functional group on the surface of CB, followed by treating with thionyl chloride. The presence of acyl chloride group in the resultant product has been ascertained by FTIR spectroscopy. The acyl chloride functionalized CB (CB-Ac) has been used as a filler in Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS)/Polyaniline (PANI) blend to improve the mechanical and thermal properties. Further addition of Nanoclay (NC) in the blend has improved the dispersion of fillers in the polymer matrix as confirmed by FESEM images and XRD pattern. The Ultimate Tensile Analysis (UTA) and Dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) have been studied. The Young modulus has shown increment of 48% and 66% in case of CB-Ac and CB-Ac/NC filled blend, respectively. The ultimate tensile strength has also been found to be increased in CB-Ac and CB-Ac/NC filled blends. DMA has given the insight about the excellent improvement in damping properties of the composites due to filler addition. Themo gravimetric analysis (TGA) and Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) has been carried out to ascertain the thermal properties. TGA has revealed the excellent augmentation in the flame retardancy and heat resistance of the composites due to CB-Ac/NC loading. DSC study has further verified the improvement in degree of crystallinity due to interfacial attraction between fillers and polymer matrix

     Objective: PITC-2 was isolated from the methanolic root extract of tissue cultured medicinal plant Pluchea indica (L.) Less. PITC-2 is a thiophene derivative which is 2-(Prop-1-ynyl)-5(5,6-dihydroxyhexa-1,3-diynyl)-thiophene. The main objective of the study is to evaluate the in vivo antitumor activity of PITC 2 against sarcoma-180 cancer cell in Swiss albino mice.Methods: The antitumor activity was evaluated by treatment with PITC-2 at a dose of 2.5 and 5 mg/kg b.w for 21 days on sarcoma-180 mice model. Cell viability was studied using 3-(4, 5- dimethylthiazol -2-yl)-2, 5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide assay and cell apoptosis, G1 cell cycle arrest and reduction in tumor cell proliferation were evaluated by histopathological analysis and Bcl-2, cyclic-D1, and Ki-67 protein expression through immunohistochemistry study.Results: Precisely, PITC-2 had a cytotoxic effect on various in vitro cancer cells. Significant decreases in solid tumor volume and weight along with increase lifespan also observed. The histopathological and immunohistopathological examination indicates that PITC-2 induces apoptosis, typical morphological changes and suppresses tumor cell proliferation along with G1 cell cycle arrest through the downregulation of the intratumoral expression of Bcl-2, cyclic D1, and Ki-67 and thus highlighting antiproliferative and apoptotic properties against sarcoma-180 in vivo solid tumor model.Conclusion: The present results clearly demonstrate that PITC-2 significantly inhibits sarcoma-180 cell growth in a dose-dependent manner in in vivo mice model. Besides this, the study reveals a comprehensive perception of the possible mechanism behind the antitumor activity of PITC-2 by significant changes in the morphological, hematological, biochemical parameters in sarcoma-180 cells

We have synthesized SEGA (3a), a tryptamine-gallic acid hybrid, which prevents NSAID-induced gastropathy by preventing mitochondrial oxidative stress, dysfunction, and apoptosis. SEGA (3a) bears an immense therapeutic potential against NSAID-induced gastropathy. This novel molecule is a significant addition in the discovery of gastroprotective drugs

    All India Network project on Fish HealthPangasianodon hypophthalmus is a major aquaculture species in South and Southeast Asia with a high level of production. Standard physiological indices of candidate species are of great value for proper health monitoring and better production. Since fish physiology is grossly influenced by temperature, the reference intervals (RIs) of haematology and blood biochemistry of the healthy reference population of this species are established here in winter and summer seasons following standard methodologies and non-parametric statistics. Haemoglobin, alkaline phosphatase enzyme activity, glucose, urea, and creatinine levels were significantly higher in summer, while leucocyte count, globulin concentration, alanine aminotransferase enzyme activity were higher in winter suggesting the need for use of season-specific RIs for correct interpretation of test results. The normometric database would be useful in season-specific stress assessment, monitoring of well-being, and pathological progressions in this catfish which contributes about 2% to the global aquaculture production.ICA
