Pairwise thermal entanglement in Ising-XYZ diamond chain structure in an external magnetic field
Quantum entanglement is one of the most fascinating types of correlation that
can be shared only among quantum systems. The Heisenberg chain is one of the
simplest quantum chains which exhibits a reach entanglement feature, due to the
Heisenberg interaction is quantum coupling in the spin system. The two
particles were coupled trough XYZ coupling or simply called as two-qubit XYZ
spin, which are the responsible for the emergence of thermal entanglement.
These two-qubit operators are bonded to two nodal Ising spins, and this process
is repeated infinitely resulting in a diamond chain structure. We will discuss
two-qubit thermal entanglement effect on Ising-XYZ diamond chain structure. The
concurrence could be obtained straightforwardly in terms of two-qubit density
operator elements, using this result, we study the thermal entanglement, as
well as the threshold temperature where entangled state vanishes. The present
model displays a quite unusual concurrence behavior, such as, the boundary of
two entangled regions becomes a disentangled region, this is intrinsically
related to the XY-anisotropy in the Heisenberg coupling. Despite a similar
property had been found for only two-qubit, here we show in the case of a
diamond chain structure, which reasonably represents real materials.Comment: 6 pages, 7 figure
Thermodynamics of the S=1 spin ladder as a composite S=2 chain model
A special class of S=1 spin ladder hamiltonians, with second- neighbor
exchange interactions and with anisotropies in the -direction, can be mapped
onto one-dimensional composite S=2 (tetrahedral S=1) models. We calculate the
high temperature expansion of the Helmoltz free energy for the latter class of
models, and show that their magnetization behaves closely to that of standard
XXZ models with a suitable effective spin , such that

components of spin in the composite model. It is also shown that the specific
heat per site of the composite model, on the other hand, can be very different
from that of the effective spin model, depending on the parameters of the

A comprehensive survey of Rhinonyssid mites (Mesostigmata: Rhinonyssidae) in Northwest Russia: New mite-host associations and prevalence data
Background:
Rhinonyssid mites are permanent parasites of birds that inhabit their respiratory tract. There are around 600 species described worldwide and almost all species of birds are found to have embedded rhinonyssid mites. Despite their presumed relevance, these mites are largely unstudied due to the difficulty in sampling them and, therefore, the majority of mite-host associations and species-prevalence data are unknown.
New information:
In this study, 179 mite specimens belonging to 27 species and eight genera were identified. Notably, 18 new mite-bird associations were documented for the first time, thus increasing the known host range for these mite species. In addition, mite-host associations found in this study were compared with known associations from these species of birds in the European part of Russia and in Europe.
