Software System for Vocal Rendering of Printed Documents
The objective of this paper is to present a software system architecture developed to render the printed documents in a vocal form. On the other hand, in the paper are described the software solutions that exist as software components and are necessary for documents processing as well as for multimedia device controlling used by the system. The usefulness of this system is for people with visual disabilities that can access the contents of documents without that they be printed in Braille system or to exist in an audio form.accessibility, TWAIN, OCR, TTS, SAPI
Working with Documents in Databases
Using on a larger and larger scale the electronic documents within organizations and public institutions requires their storage and unitary exploitation by the means of databases. The purpose of this article is to present the way of loading, exploitation and visualization of documents in a database, taking as example the SGBD MSSQL Server. On the other hand, the modules for loading the documents in the database and for their visualization will be presented through code sequences written in C#. The interoperability between averages will be carried out by the means of ADO.NET technology of database access.interoperability, documents, database, full text search.
Techniques for Statistical Data Visualization in GIS
This paper proposes an original solution to present statistical data using the facilities provided by the Geographical Information Systems, to improve the means of statistical data figure and distribution inside the territorial profile. The proposed solution allows to represent more statistical data sets, on the same map, using two different methods of data representation: using a color ramp to represent the territorial distribution of an aggregate indicator and a set of charts overlapped to represent the proportions of the variables that form the indicator. On the other hand, there is a way to represent statistical data using 3D cartograms. Thus, in GIS, the users can distinguish the intensity of the studied economic or social phenomenon because of the heights of the administrative units will be different.Geographical Information Systems, Spatial Visualization, ArcObjects, 2D and 3D Cartograms

Using Java Technologies in Statistics Applications Data Analysis Graphic Generator
This paper proposes an idea for building a Java Application Programming Interface (API) that allows generating statistics graphics used in Data Analysis. The core of this API is a Java 2D library, and some classes which implement the 2D geometric transformations. The classes are small, fast, easy to use and can be integrated into your projects, and are completely written in pure Java. It allows users to easily develop and deploy sophisticated reports across any platform.Java API, Data Analysis, Graphics

Generating Multimedia Components for M-Learning
The paper proposes a solution to generate template based multimedia components for instruction and learning available both for computer based applications and for mobile devices. The field of research is situated at the intersection of computer science, mobile tools and e-learning and is generically named mobile learning or M-learning. The research goal is to provide access to computer based training resources from any location and to adapt the training content to the specific features of mobile devices, communication environment, users' preferences and users' knowledge. To become important tools in education field, the technical solutions proposed will follow to use the potential of mobile devices.M-learning, mobile devices, MPEG-21 standard, multimedia databases
Using Raster Based Solutions to Identify Spatial Economic Agglomerations
The efficient economic activities incline to be concentrated in space, and therefore there is an increased attention over the forces of spatial economic agglomerations and the role of location in economic development. This paper proposes some solutions to automate the identification of spatial agglomerations and their intensities, function on the spatial distribution of items in the geographical areas. The software components developed to accomplish this task are Geographic Information Systems specific tools
Using DLL as Interface between API an VC#.NET Applications
This paper presents a solution for using complex Win32API data structures and functions in Visual C# .NET applications. We built DLL (Dynamic Link Library) to manage the API functions and data structures and we used DLL modules in a C# application. This is an easier working way compared with the traditional way of importing and managing API’s functions in C# programs
