Pengaruh Kemasan dan Lama Penyimpanan terhadap Pertumbuhan Bahan Stek Akar Sukun
Tanaman sukun (Artocarpus altilis Fosberg) hanya dapat diperbanyak dengan perbanyakan vegetatif seperti stek akar, stek batang dan stek pucuk. Kenyataannya sering terjadi lokasi penanaman dan lokasi persemaian memiliki jarak yang cukup jauh sehingga diperlukan teknik penyimpanan stek yang tepat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh bahan kemasan dan lama penyimpanan terhadap pertumbuhan stek akar sukun. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan rancangan acak kelompok dengan menguji 2 faktor, yaitu faktor pertama adalah bahan kemasan (karung plastik, serbuk sabut kelapa, pelepah batang pisang kertas merang), dan faktor kedua adalah periode simpan selama 1; 3; 7; 14; dan 28 hari dengan ulangan sebanyak 3 kali dan setiap ulangan terdiri 10 stek akar. Parameter yang diamati meliputi pertumbuhan tunas dan akar stek. Bahan stek akar sukun dapat disimpan dalam kemasan yang mampu mempertahankan kelembaban tetap tinggi seperti serbuk sabut kelapa lembab dan pelepah batang pisang mampu mempertahankan stek akar tetap baik selama 28 hari, sedangkan kemasan karung plastik dan kertas merang hanya bertahan selama 14 dan 7 hari

The purpose of this article is to describe a design process of a website utilized by the Department of DKV, Bina Nusantara University. The website description was done by using literature methods such as analysis of similar websites, and using the website design method developed by Gene DeFazzio. From the analysis results can be obtained data classification needs and system as expected by DKV BINUS website. Then, from the data analysis, website was developed through the stages of Pre-Production, Production, and Uploading. Through this process, it has been produced a website which serves as a database and information, and supports the process of marketing and branding of the Department of DKV BINUS

Paper began with the history of visuallyconomic.com. Then it discussed the roles undertaken by the visuallyconomic.com. Research used literature study method, and continued with reflective data analysis. Pengaruh Media Dan Zat Pengatur Tumbuh Terhadap Perbanyakan Stek Pucuk Nyawai (Ficus Variegata Blume)
Forest timber plantation of nyawai (Ficus variegate Blume) established by using vegetative propagated seedling from superior individu is very potential to develop for fulfilling the raw material demand of wood processing industries. The purpose of research was to get the optimum rooting medium and growth regulator concentration for rooting shoot cuttings of nyawai. Materials cuttings were provided from seedlings at 12 months age. The experiment was performed as factorial in a completely randomized design with two factors, i.e. rooting media factors (sand, mixed coconut coir dust + rice husk (2: 1, v/v), and mixed coconut coir dust+ husk rice + husk rice charcoal (6: 3: 1, v/v)) and IBA growth regulator concentrations (0, 50, 100,200,400, 600, and 800 mg/l), with three replications so that twenty experimented unit were used at each replication. Rooting percentage, root number, root length, shoot length, root biomass, shoot biomass, and leaf number were evaluated. Based on the result, sand media produced the highest rooted cuttings (88.10%), while the use of IBA showed the trend to increase the number of root with increasing the concentrations, but it influenced to reduce the shoot growth. Combination treatment of sand media and IBA 800mg/l provided the highest rooted cuttings (93.33%) with the number of root 21. Therefore, for the successful propagation of nyawai, cuttings are planted in sand media with IBA 800 mg/l

Pemetaan Potensi Lahan dan Sebaran Populasi Tanaman Rasamala untuk Pengembangan Sumber Benih di Jawa
Kegiatan penelitian pemetaan sebaran populasi tanaman hutan untuk sumber benih jenis rasamala (Altingia excelsa Noronhae) bertujuan untuk mengetahui sebaran populasi tanaman rasamala, baik yang terdapat di hutan alam maupun hutan tanaman beserta informasi kondisi ekologis tempat tumbuhnya seperti letak geografis, kondisi iklim, curah hujan dan jenis tanah sehingga dapat diketahui potensi lahan untuk pengembangan jenis ini di Pulau Jawa. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi: (1) studi literatur dan komunikasi langsung dengan pihak terkait dan masyarakat, (2) pengumpulan data sekunder meliputi: letak geografis, ketinggian, curah hujan, jenis tanah, dan topografi, (3) pengumpulan data kondisi tegakan meliputi: tahun tanam, kerapatan tegakan, tinggi, diameter, bentuk batang, bentuk tajuk. Penyusunan peta sebaran populasi dan potensi lahan jenis rasamala dengan menggunakan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa potensi populasi rasamala untuk sumber benih tersebar di beberapa kabupaten yaitu kabupaten Bandung, Garut, Cianjur dan Banyumas. Lahan tersebut terletak pada ketinggian 808-1962 m dpl, jenis tanah Latosol, Litosol, Grumusol, asosiasi Andosol dan Latosol, asosiasi Regosol dan Litosol dengan curah hujan 1500-4300 mm/tahun. Hasil analisis SIG menunjukkan sebaran potensi lahan untuk pengembangan tanaman rasamala di Pulau Jawa seluas 1.708.756 ha. Sementara itu, ketersediaan sumber benih rasamala yang telah disertifikasi dan dapat dipetakan seluas 118,74 ha
Perbanyakan Ulin (Eusideroxylon Zwageri T.et.b) Dengan Bui Dan Setek [Propagation of Ulin by Seed and Cutting]
The ulin or so called vernacular name kayu besi (Eusideroxylon zwageri T.et.B.) is one of the the important timber in East Kalimantan (East Borneo).However, there are some problems in the regeneration of this species. The research on propagation of ulin was carried out in Treub Laboratory, Research Center for Biology. The research consist of two experiments The research consisted of two experiments.The first experiment seeds which was treated in order to stimulate the germination and the second experiment by treating the mixture between 1BA and vitamin C for stimulating root cutting.The best result of seeds germination was recorded 90%,which the seeds were treated by removing the whole seedcoat and then by exposing to the sunlight for 5 hours The seed itself began to germinate 7 weeks after sowing.Meanwhile, the control no germination et all until 28 weeks.The best result on cutting was indicated by treating with the combination of IBA 10 mg/1 and vitamin C 50 mg/1 which was achieved the highest rooting 100%,although without hormone treatment only resulted 33.3% rooting
