    Get PDF
Unmada depicts a range of different psychological conditions described under a single heading. The various components affected can be broadly classified under Mana (psyche), Buddhi (Intellect) and physical components. And depending on these different entities involved in the presentation of Unmada, the drugs are to be selected and treatment should be planned. With this idea, the classical texts and Nighantus were searched and the mode of action of drugs was analysed depending on their properties. Their possible role in different types of Unmada depending on Dosha predominance was assessed. The possible clinical application of these drugs in different Psychiatric conditions was supported with evidences from recent researches. It was found that among various drugs used in Unmada, some act by their nootropic property and the others by their high anti-oxidant activity. Some drugs help in repairing the damaged neurons. Some act directly on the neuro-humoral mechanisms (Glutaminergic, Dopaminergic). Some are found to have a potent anxiolytic effect. Some drugs have a depressant effect on CNS whereas others act as stimulants. Thus with this analysis, selection of drugs becomes easier in a given condition of Psychosis

    Network Security in Biometrics

Biometric security is mostly executed in conditions with basic physical security prerequisites or that are profoundly inclined to data fraud. Biometric security-based frameworks or motors store human body qualities that don't change over a person's lifetime. These incorporate fingerprints, eye texture, voice, hand patterns and facial recognition. A person's body qualities are pre-stored in a biometric security framework or scanner, which might be accessed by approved staff. At the point when an individual strolls into an office or attempts to access a framework, the biometric scanner assesses his/her physical attributes, which are coordinated with put away records. On the off chance that a match is found, the individual is conceded get to

The associated symptoms of pain, slough, foul smelling, swelling were relieved and the wound was close to healing without any complications in 60 days of treatment

Facial Expression Recognition Using Diagonal Crisscross Local Binary Pattern

Facial expression analysis is a noteworthy and challenging problem in the field of Computer Vision, Human-Computer Interaction and Image Analysis. For accomplishing FER, it is very difficult to acquire an effective facial description of the original facial images. The Local Binary Pattern (LBP) which captures facial attributes locally from the images is broadly used for facial expression recognition. But conventional LBP has some limitations. To overcome the limitations, novel approach for Facial Expression Recognition based Diagonal Crisscross Local Binary Pattern (DCLBP). It is based on the idea that pixel variations in diagonal as well as vertical and horizontal (crisscross) should be taken as an image feature in the neighborhood different from the other conventional approaches. The Chi-square distance method is used to classify various expressions. To enhance the recognition rate and reduce the classification time, weighted mask is employed to label the particular components in the face like eyebrow, mouth and eye with larger weights than the other parts of the face. The results of comparison showed the performance of the suggested approach comparing to the other approaches and the experimental results on the databases JAFFE and CK exhibited the better recognition rate

By literary survey Usheera is mentioned from Vedakala. Some Nighantus and some Ayurvedic modern books mention that, it has Mootravirechaniya action used in Mootrakricchra. This drug is easily available and grows all over India. Hence roots of Vetiveria zizanioides (Linn) Nash i.e. Usheera was selected for this study. Most of Ayurvedic drugs or formulations are known for their safety and efficacy. Hence literary research is done to specify a medicine that can act as a diuretic. Lots of drugs are mentioned as Mootravirechaniya (diuretic) in Ayurvedic classics. Here Mootravirechaniya is also called as Bastishodhana and Mootrala. They are having Sheeta Veerya or Ushna Veerya, Madhura, Amla, Lavana Rasas, Drava and Upakledi properties. The selected drug Usheera is having Sheeta and Madhura properties. Diuretics are the drugs which cause a net loss of sodium and water in urine. These are widely prescribed drugs. They are used whenever there is need to eliminate excess of water and ion accumulated in tissues

To prevent the recurrence of seasonal disorders Rutuvat Shodhanopakrama (Seasonal detoxification) is the ideal pathway. So in Varsharutu (Rainy season), Bastikarma (Enema therapy); Sharadrutu (Autumn season), Virechankarma (Purgation therapy) and in Vasantrutu (Spring sea- son), Vaman karma (Emesis therapy) is best for Shodhan (detoxification) of vitiated Vatadosha, Pittadosha and Kapha dosha respectively to avoid occurrence of seasonal disorders. Study is conducted only on Virechana karma (Purgation therapy) in Sharad Rutu (Autumn season) on sample size of 30 patients suffering from Pittaj Shirahshul (Headache). The chief symptoms of the disease are Shirodaha (Burning sensation in head), Shirovedana (Headache), Chakshudaha (Burning sensation in eyes), Trushna (Thirst), Bhrama (Giddiness) and Swedpravrutti (Sweating). Sharadkalin Trivrutadi Virechana yoga (purgative formulation used in Autumn) is most efficacious which acts as Pittaghna (reduces Pitta) and Rechana (purgative) which could be the beneficial line of treatment for Pittaj Shirahshul (Headache). Hence Virechana karma (Purgation ther- apy) should be carried out furthermore in every Sharad rutu (autumn season) to reduce the risk of relapse and to prevent rutujanya pittaj shirahshul (headache due to vitiated Pitta)
