An analysis of the literature on apparatus used to measure electro dermal responses shows that about ten characteristics have been considered important by the majority of investigators
Frictional cooling of positively charged particles
One of the focuses of research and development towards the construction of a
muon collider is muon beam preparation. Simulation of frictional cooling shows
that it can achieve the desired emittance reduction to produce high-luminosity
muon beams. We show that for positively charged particles, charge exchange
interactions necessitate significant changes to schemes previously developed
for negatively charged particles. We also demonstrate that foil-based schemes

Horava-Lifshitz gravity: tighter constraints for the Kehagias-Sfetsos solution from new solar system data
We analytically work out the perturbation induced by the Kehagias-Sfetsos
(KS) space-time solution of the Horava-Lifshitz (HL) modified gravity at long
distances on the two-body range for a pair of test particles A and B orbiting
the same mass M. We apply our results to the most recently obtained
range-residuals \delta\rho for some planets of the solar system (Mercury, Mars,
Saturn) ranged from the Earth to effectively constrain the dimensionsless KS
parameter \psi_0 for the Sun. We obtain \psi_0 >= 7.2 x 10^-10 (Mercury),
\psi_0 >= 9 x 10^-12 (Mars), \psi_0 >= 1.7 x 10^-12 (Saturn). Such lower bounds
are tighter than other ones existing in literature by several orders of
magnitude. We also preliminarily obtain \psi_0 >= 8 x 10^-10 for the system
constituted by the S2 star orbiting the Supermassive Black Hole (SBH) in the

TagAlong: Informal Learning from a Remote Companion with Mobile Perspective Sharing
Questions often arise spontaneously in a curious mind, due to an observation about a new or unknown environment. When an expert is right there, prepared to engage in dialog, this curiosity can be harnessed and converted into highly effective, intrinsically motivated learning. This paper investigates how this kind of situated informal learning can be realized in real-world settings with wearable technologies and the support of a remote learning companion. In particular, we seek to understand how the use of different multimedia communication mediums impacts the quality of the interaction with a remote teacher, and how these remote interactions compare with face-to-face, co-present learning. A prototype system called TagAlong was developed with attention to features that facilitate dialog based on the visual environment. It was developed to work robustly in the wild, depending only on widely-available components and infrastructure. A pilot study was performed to learn about what characteristics are most important for successful interactions, as a basis for further system development and a future full-scale study. We conclude that it is critical for system design to be informed by (i) an analysis of the attentional burdens imposed by the system on both wearer and companion and (ii) a knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of co-present learning.Google Inc.
