    Noncommutative Metafluid Dynamics

    In this paper we define a noncommutative (NC) Metafluid Dynamics \cite{Marmanis}. We applied the Dirac's quantization to the Metafluid Dynamics on NC spaces. First class constraints were found which are the same obtained in \cite{BJP}. The gauge covariant quantization of the non-linear equations of fields on noncommutative spaces were studied. We have found the extended Hamiltonian which leads to equations of motion in the gauge covariant form. In addition, we show that a particular transformation \cite{Djemai} on the usual classical phase space (CPS) leads to the same results as of the \star-deformation with ν=0\nu=0. Besides, we will shown that an additional term is introduced into the dissipative force due the NC geometry. This is an interesting feature due to the NC nature induced into model.Comment: 11 page

    Supersymmetrization of the Radiation Damping

    We construct a supersymmetrized version of the model to the radiation damping \cite{03} introduced by the present authors \cite{ACWF}. We dicuss its symmetries and the corresponding conserved Noether charges. It is shown this supersymmetric version provides a supersymmetric generalization of the Galilei algebra obtained in \cite{ACWF}. We have shown that the supersymmetric action can be splited into dynamically independent external and internal sectors.Comment: 9 page

    Spontaneous Bacterial Pericarditis and Coronary Sinus Endocarditis Caused by Oxacillin-Susceptible Staphylococcus aureus

    This paper describes a case of a 44-year-old male patient previously healthy admitted with an unusual spontaneous acute bacterial pericarditis associated with coronary sinus mass. Two-dimensional echocardiography showed large loculated pericardial effusion with signs of diastolic restriction and an image suggesting vegetation in topography of the right atrium coronary sinus. Pericardial drainage, coronary sinus vegetation resection, and antibiotic therapy with Oxacillin were performed due to Oxacillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus identified on the pericardial effusion and blood culture. This is a rare condition and a unique combination of a spontaneous acute bacterial pericarditis with coronary sinus endocarditis without cardiac valve compromise

    Domain Walls in a FRW Universe

    We solve the equations of motion for a scalar field with domain wall boundary conditions in a Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) spacetime. We find (in agreement with Basu and Vilenkin) that no domain wall solutions exist in de Sitter spacetime for h = H/m >= 1/2, where H is the Hubble parameter and m is the scalar mass. In the general FRW case we develop a systematic perturbative expansion in h to arrive at an approximate solution to the field equations. We calculate the energy momentum tensor of the domain wall configuration, and show that the energy density can become negative at the core of the defect for some values of the non-minimal coupling parameter xi. We develop a translationally invariant theory for fluctuations of the wall, obtain the effective Lagrangian for these fluctuations, and quantize them using the Bunch-Davies vacuum in the de Sitter case. Unlike previous analyses, we find that the fluctuations act as zero-mass (as opposed to tachyonic) modes. This allows us to calculate the distortion and the normal-normal correlators for the surface. The normal-normal correlator decreases logarithmically with the distance between points for large times and distances, indicating that the interface becomes rougher than in Minkowski spacetime.Comment: 23 pages, LaTeX, 7 figures using epsf.tex.     A Universal Phase Diagram for PMN-xPT and PZN-xPT

    The phase diagram of the Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 and PbTiO3 solid solution (PMN-xPT) indicates a rhombohedral ground state for x < 0.32. X-ray powder measurements by Dkhil et al. show a rhombohedrally split (222) Bragg peak for PMN-10%PT at 80 K. Remarkably, neutron data taken on a single crystal of the same compound with comparable q-resolution reveal a single resolution-limited (111) peak down to 50 K, and thus no rhombohedral distortion. Our results suggest that the structure of the outer layer of these relaxors differs from that of the bulk, which is nearly cubic, as observed in PZN by Xu et al.Comment: Replaced Fig. 3 with better versio

    Dynamical Viscosity of Nucleating Bubbles

    We study the viscosity corrections to the growth rate of nucleating bubbles in a first order phase transition in scalar field theory. We obtain the non-equilibrium equation of motion of the coordinate that describes small departures from the critical bubble and extract the growth rate consistently in weak coupling and in the thin wall limit. Viscosity effects arise from the interaction of this coordinate with the stable quantum and thermal fluctuations around a critical bubble. In the case of 1+1 dimensions we provide an estimate for the growth rate that depends on the details of the free energy functional. In 3+1 dimensions we recognize robust features that are a direct consequence of the thin wall approximation and give the leading viscosity corrections.These are long-wavelength hydrodynamic fluctuations that describe surface waves, quasi-Goldstone modes which are related to ripples on interfaces in phase ordered Ising-like systems. We discuss the applicability of our results to describe the growth rate of hadron bubbles in a quark-hadron first order transition.Comment: 40 pages, 4 figures, revtex, minor changes, to be published in Phys.
