Modification of mathematical approach to general body problem for investigating direct shock wave problem for bodies with spherical nos
Continuous consent and dignity in dentistry
Despite the heavy emphasis on consent in the ethical code of the General Dental Council (GDC), it is often overlooked that communication difficulties between patient and dentist can cause problems in maintaining genuine consent during interventions. Inconsistencies in the GDC's Standards for dental professionals and Principles of patient consent guidelines are examined in this article, and it is concluded that more emphasis must be placed on continuous consent as an ongoing process essential to maintaining patients' dignity in dentistry
Metric half-span model support system
A model support system used to support a model in a wind tunnel test section is described. The model comprises a metric, or measured, half-span supported by a nonmetric, or nonmeasured half-span which is connected to a sting support. Moments and forces acting on the metric half-span are measured without interference from the support system during a wind tunnel test
Device and method for frictionally testing materials for ignitability
Test apparatus for determining ignition characteristics of various metal in oxidizer environments simulating operating conditions for materials is invented. The test apparatus has a chamber through which the oxidizing agent flows, and means for mounting a stationary test sample therein, a powered, rotating shaft in the chamber rigidly mounts a second test sample. The shaft is axially movable to bring the samples into frictional engagement and heated to the ignition point. Instrumentation connected to the apparatus provides for observation of temperatures, pressures, loads on and speeds of the rotating shaft, and torques whereby components of stressed oxygen systems can be selected which will avoid accidental fires under working conditions
Schroedinger Wheeler-DeWitt Equation In Multidimensional Cosmology
We study multidimensional cosmology to obtain the wavefunction of the
universe using wormhole dominance proposal. Using a prescription for time we
obtain the Schroedinger-Wheeler-DeWitt equation without any reference to WD
equation and WKB ansatz for WD wavefunction. It is found that the
Hartle-Hawking or wormhole-dominated boundary conditions serve as a seed for
inflation as well as for Gaussian type ansatz to Schroedinger-Wheeler-DeWitt
equation.Comment: 10 Pages, LaTeX, no figur
