How will personality combined with motivation affect student learning outcome of ecosystem course?
Abstract
Learning outcome someone is determined by two factors, namely internal factors and external factors. Personality and motivation including internal factors that affect student learning outcome. This research aims to determine the correlation between personality and motivation with student learning outcome. Participants in this research are students of XI grade majoring in science from 13 Senior High School Jakarta. This research was held on August until September 2018 with 121 students of XI grade majoring in science chosen by simple random sampling. This research used the descriptive method with survey technique through correlative study. A correlation analysis revealed that personality and motivation were significant relationship with student learning outcome. Personality and motivation simultaneously provides a considerable contribution with student learning outcomes.</jats:p
The relations of leadership and organizational culture with employees’ environmental performance at PT. Cahaya Mas
Abstract
This research aims to perceive the relations of leadership and organizational culture with the employees’ environmental performance. This research was conducted at PT. Cahaya and its employees were the subjects of the study. The quantitative method with the correlational technique was used in the study. The data were collected by giving out questionnaires to 102 employees. Proportionate stratified random was used for the sampling. Based on the data analysis, it is said that there is a relation between partial leadership with the employees’ environmental performance. Furthermore, an association is also found between partial organizational culture with the environmental employees’ performance. Leadership and organizational culture simultaneously have a relation between the employees’ environmental performance. As a result, it can be concluded that if the employees’ environmental performance is hoped to improve at PT. Cahaya Mas, its leadership, and organizational culture should be reconsidered.</jats:p
Environmental literacy of biology undergraduate students in Jakarta: Profile and comparative analysis
Abstract
Environmental Literacy (EL) was the ability to interpret and take appropriate action on environmental systems that purpose to conserve, restore and improve the environment. This study aimed to determine the EL level of biology undergraduate students. The method used the descriptive method. There was 6 indicators in EL. Data were obtained from 197 samples of the 4th semester of biology undergraduate students in the 2017-2018 from 5 universities in Jakarta which consists of Biology Science program and Biology Education program. The results were level EL of biology undergraduate student in the high category. Based on their majors, the EL of undergraduate students in biology science was higher than undergraduate students in biology education. Differences in EL levels based on gender, female was higher than Male. In conclusion, the Biology undergraduate student’s EL varies from various aspects. The institution has an important role to enhance the student EL. Therefore, a student should increase the EL.</jats:p
Evaluasi Program Penyediaan Ruang Terbuka Hijau Wilayah DKI Jakarta
The reality, must be faced by DKI Jakarta as the National Capital of Indonesia is population. The estimation data from the Jakarta Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in 2025, will be 11,034,000 people. This population is quite dense resulting in increased utilization of Natural Resources, and declining the Jakarta Environmental Quality Index (IKLH). The 2016 IKLH is 38.69 and 2017 is 35.78 and this is the lowest IKLH among 33 Indonesian Provinces. The Provision Green Open Space Program is one of the methods used by the DKI Jakarta Government to maintain the environmental quality of DKI Jakarta. For 2017 and 2018 did not reach the target for this program so it needs to be evaluated for the program that has been carried out in order to obtain in-depth findings. This research uses the evaluation method as Context, Input, Process Product (CIPP). Result: For the Context and Input components are in accordance with the expectations set while the Process and Product components do not meet the expectations set. Conclusion: Success of the program can be achieved if using innovative and creative ways and program evaluation must be done thoroughly by involving various supporting parties to find out the obstacles of program implementatio
QOS of efficient GA-EMAN routing method for future mobile tele-emergency system
This paper discusses the routing optimization for mobile ad hoc network (MANET), using enhanced genetic algorithm (GA). In MANET routing, the mobile wireless nodes suffer signal interference due to the existence of the other active nodes. For Wireless Telemedicine application, there exists a dense group of active nodes inside a small area in MANET, and scattered active nodes surrounding the area. The small and densely populated mobile nodes are at the center of the disaster area, in which less interference and less traffic is preferred. To alleviate the interference and traffic problem, there should be a method to route the traffic from and to the gateway without presenting extra load to the area, while maintaining the quality of the links from the gateway to the destinations within an acceptable level. Our approach is through gateway routing technique using GA, incorporated into MANET, hence the name GA Enhanced Mobile Ad Hoc Network (GA-EMAN). The result of our simulation in gateway routing of mobile nodes over GA-EMAN is presented. The results shows that the best alternative routes given by GA-EMAN can replace the conventional MANET routing protocol. ©2007 IEEE
