Exploring the Utilization of a Bayesian Network-Based Risk Management System for Cold Chain Packaging

    Get PDF
This paper presents a comprehensive risk management model for cold chain packaging, as there is still a lack of systematic approaches to address this industry-wide issue. The proposed Bayesian network model is based on literature review and expert opinions of existing cold chain packaging systems to identify various risks and factors. The model includes various components related to the cold chain packaging system. This model can be used by stakeholders such as logistic managers and consultants to weigh the impact of each risk factor and identify potential risks that may affect the effectiveness of the cold chain system. In addition, the model can be used to evaluate the overall effectiveness of the cold chain system and suggest ways to further improve the system. The model will provide valuable insights for industry practitioners to better plan and manage cold chain packaging operations

An empirical investigation of third party logistics providers in Thailand: Barriers, motivation and usage of information technologies

    No full text
Third Party Logistics (3PL) in Asia emerged as an important trend in logistical management and Thailand continues to develop in this service rapidly. While a great deal has been written about the dissemination of information technology (IT), few empirical investigations address the use of IT in relation to 3PLs in Thailand. In this article, the authors use an empirical study to investigate the profiles of 3PLs in Thailand and their company strategies for providing logistics service and use of IT. Survey results show that Thailand’s 3PL companies must expend more effort to strengthen basic IT and infrastructure to enhance competitiveness. IT capabilities in Thailand are increasing rapidly and its effective adoption has the potential to significantly enhance the competitiveness of small 3PLs. Still many barriers exist to the successful adoption of IT by these providers. Given the importance of such companies in supply chain management, these issues must be fully understood

Experimental Evaluation Of Hot Electron Reliability On Differential Clapp-Vco

This paper studies the hot-carrier stressed property of a series-tuned all-n core voltage controlled oscillator (VCO). A differential Clapp-VCO has been successfully implemented in the 0.13 m CMOS process and it uses a series-tuned resonator. Two single ended nMOS-core Clapp-VCOs are used to form a differential VCO by the aid of a cross-coupled nMOS pair and a transformer. The measured results show that the fresh Clapp-VCO operates from 18.8 to 22.2 GHz and hot-carrier stressed experimental data indicate that the damage increases the oscillation frequency and degrades the phase noise of oscillator. Mixed-mode simulation results are used to show the hot-carrier physics to the circuit. © 2012 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved
