Efektivitas Air Rebusan Daun Sirih Merah terhadap Penurunan Kadar Gula Darah pada Pasien Diabetes Melitus di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Saling 2018

Diabetes Melitus merupakan penyakit kronik yang terjadi akibat pankreas tidak mampu menghasilkan insulin yang cukup atau ketika tubuh tidak dapat secara efektif menggunakan insulin tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari efektivitas pemberian air rebusan daun sirih merah terhadap penurunan kadar gula darah pasien Diabetes Melitus di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Saling Kabupaten Empat Lawang Tahun 2018. Desain penelitian ini adalah Quasy eksperimental dengan menggunakan rancangan The One Group Pretest – Postest Design, teknik pengambilan data menggunakan data primer dan sekunder. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh pasien Diabetes Melitus di Puskesmas Saling pada bulan Juli-Agustus tahun 2018 berjumlah 16 orang, pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan Accidental sampling. Hasil penelitian, dari 16 penderita Diabetes Melitus terdapat 9 orang (56.2%) dengan kadar gula darah kurang dari 200 mg/dl. Hasil uji Wilcoxon Sign Rank didapat nilai Z=-3,517 dengan p=0,000<0,05 berarti signifikan. Jadi kedua variabel memiliki median yang berbeda, ada perbedaan Kadar GDS pasien Diabetes Melitus sebelum dan setelah pemberian air rebusan daun sirih merah. Kesimpulan, Air rebusan daun sirih merah efektif secara signifikan terhadap penurunan kadar gula darah pada pasien diabetes melitus. Diharapkan bagi petugas Puskesmas agar kiranya dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat dengan cara penyuluhan tentang daun sirih merah sebagai obat Non Farmakologi bagi penderita Diabetes Melitus yang tidak mengalami komplikasi

Hematologi Kelinci (Lepus SP.) Setelah Perlakuan Implantasi Material Stainless Steel Aisi 316l Selama 2,5 Bulan

Stainless Steel AISI 316L are one of the implant material used in the manufacture of artificial hip joint. Testing the effect of prior implantation needs to be done in animal models such as rabbits before applied in the human body. Future integration of the implant in the body of an animal model takes 4-6 weeks. This study aimed to analyze the body's physiological response to the implantation of an animal model of AISI 316L Stainless Steel for 2.5 months seen from the aspect of the number of erythrocytes, leukocytes and hemoglobin animal models as part of the basic data for further research in order to figure out orthopedic implants that can be used by the body. This study compares the P0: control rabbits and Ps: rabbits given the implants Stainless Steel AISI 316L. The parameters measured were the number of erythrocytes, leukocyte count and hemoglobin levels, feed intake and body weight were analyzed by Independent Sample T test with SPSS procedures at 95% significance level. The results showed red cell count, leukocyte count and hemoglobin levels did not differ significantly (p> 0.05) between the control treatment. It can be concluded that the use of stainless steel AISI 316L for 2.5 months had no effect on animal physiology and is a material that can be used by the body

Attack Intensity of Twig Borer Xylosandrus Compactus (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) on Four Robusta Coffee Clones

Xylosandrus compactus (Coleoptera: Curculionidae: Scolytinae) is one main pest in coffee plant which damages the branches. Each Robusta coffee clones has unique genetical, physiological, and morphological characteristics, thus presumably has different resistance levels to X. Compactus. This study aimed to determine the attack intensity of X. compactus on four Robusta coffee clones (SA 237, BP 308, BP 358 and RBGN 371) in the field. The research was conducted at Pakuwon Experimental Station and Integrated Laboratory of the Indonesian Industrial and Beverages Crops Research Institute (IIBCRI), Sukabumi, from September to Desember 2016. Three years old Robusta coffee plants of SA 237, BP 308, BP 358, and RBGN 371 clones were used, with 2.5 m x 2.5 m spacing and Gliricidia sepium, Musa paradisiaca, and Aleurites trisperma as shading plants. Variables observed were the attack symptoms in the hole, the insects stadia, the hole diameter, number and length of eggs, number and length of larvae, length and width of X. compactus imago, the attack symptoms and intensity. Moreover, sunlight intensity and water content of coffee branch was also observed as supportiing data. Data were analyzed by anova of completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments of coffee clones and 6 replications. The results showed that attack of X. compactus was occurred at the branch of coffee plant, which potentially causing crops damage. Of the four Robusta coffee clones observed showed that the highest attack intensity and number of holes occurred in SA 237 clone, and the lowest in RBGN 371 clone
