SELECTION OF OPTICAL SYSTEM PARAMETERS AND METHODS FOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT OF TECHNICAL VISION COMPLEX FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL PRINTING
Subject of Research. The paper presents the study of methods for control of rapid prototyping processes with the use of technical vision hardware and software system. Product monitoring is a crucial function of any manufacturing process. It becomes more important when the monitoring is performed during the the product manufacturing. Three-dimensional printing technology requires this kind of monitoring system in order to improve the visual and durable qualities of the product, optimize the material costs and the speed of manufacturing. Method. The parameters of the optical system for capturing images in the printing process are defined in theory. Optical systems are selected providing the necessary image quality. The analysis of the camera placement configuration has been carried out to match optimally the task. The analysis was based on overall dimensions of the 3D printer, its working area and free space in the printer case. The ways for solution of software part problems were analyzed. Main Results. A mathematical apparatus was developed for calculation of the optical system parameters of a technical vision complex. Different variants of optical systems were selected for efficiency verification of the hardware and software system. Different methods for development of programs and algorithms for data processing from video cameras were considered. Practical Relevance. The development of the hardware and software system that controls the rapid prototyping process has a significant benefit in expanding the possibilities of automating rapid prototyping processes. The results of the work can be useful in quality control of the product during its manufacturing, in disclosure of deviations from the virtual three-dimensional model, in development of recommendations for control commands update in order to improve the quality and increase the speed of product manufacturin
Estimation of coupling between oscillators from short time series via phase dynamics modeling: limitations and application to EEG data
We demonstrate in numerical experiments that estimators of strength and
directionality of coupling between oscillators based on modeling of their phase
dynamics [D.A. Smirnov and B.P. Bezruchko, Phys. Rev. E 68, 046209 (2003)] are
widely applicable. Namely, although the expressions for the estimators and
their confidence bands are derived for linear uncoupled oscillators under the
influence of independent sources of Gaussian white noise, they turn out to
allow reliable characterization of coupling from relatively short time series
for different properties of noise, significant phase nonlinearity of the
oscillators, and non-vanishing coupling between them. We apply the estimators
to analyze a two-channel human intracranial epileptic electroencephalogram
(EEG) recording with the purpose of epileptic focus localization.Comment: 22 pages, 7 figures, the paper is to be published in Chaos, 2005,

B-flavor tagging at Belle II
We report on new flavor tagging algorithms developed to determine the quark-flavor content of bottom ([InlineMediaObject not available: see fulltext.]) mesons at Belle II. The algorithms provide essential inputs for measurements of quark-flavor mixing and charge-parity violation. We validate and evaluate the performance of the algorithms using hadronic [InlineMediaObject not available: see fulltext.] decays with flavor-specific final states reconstructed in a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 62.8 fb- 1, collected at the [InlineEquation not available: see fulltext.] resonance with the Belle II detector at the SuperKEKB collider. We measure the total effective tagging efficiency to be εeff=(30.0±1.2(stat)±0.4(syst))%for a category-based algorithm and εeff=(28.8±1.2(stat)±0.4(syst))%for a deep-learning-based algorithm
Search for B0 meson decays into Λ and missing energy with a hadronic tagging method at Belle
We present a search for the decays of B0 mesons into a final state containing a Λ baryon and missing energy. These results are obtained from a 711 fb-1 data sample that contains 772×106 BB¯ pairs and was collected near the (4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider. We use events in which one B meson is fully reconstructed in a hadronic decay mode and require the remainder of the event to consist of only a single Λ. No evidence for these decays is found, and we set 90% confidence level upper limits on the branching fractions in the range 2.1-3.8×10-5. This measurement provides the world\u27s most restrictive limits, with implications for baryogenesis and dark matter production
S=O...S=O Interactions as a Driving Force for Low-Temperature Conformational Rearrangement of Stable H-Bonding {S(O)-Ch2-Ch2-OH···}2 Synthon in two Modifications of Diastereomeric Pinanyl Sulfoxides Co-Crystal
Copyright © Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. (Graphical Abstract) For the triclinic and monoclinic modifications of diastereomeric pinanyl sulfoxides co-crystal, remarkable alterations in unit cell parameters by transition from 293 to 150 were ascertained. Such alterations are accompanied by conformational restructuring of a stable hydrogen-bonded synthon from an "unfolded" to a "folded" form. The driving force of this restructuring is the tendency to form S=O.S=O interactions, which show up in the lowerature phases of both polymorphs. These are well-supported by the methods of quantum chemistry (DFT, B97-D/6-31G(d,p), AIM All)
The Use of Digital Technologies to Improve the Efficiency of Career Vehicles
The article discusses the factors affecting the performance of a dump truck and ways to improve their efficiency. The main factor is the quality of drilling and blasting operations, in- cluding the average size of the fraction of the exploded mass and the volume of the oversized. The methods of determining the quality of BVR using various approaches, including artificial intelligence technologies, are investigated. It has been established that the distance to the device is an important indicator for the accuracy of determining the size of the rock. The analysis of methods for estimating this distance has been carried out, and the most promising one has been identified
STCF conceptual design report (Volume 1): Physics & detector
The super τ-charm facility (STCF) is an electron–positron collider proposed by the Chinese particle physics community. It is designed to operate in a center-of-mass energy range from 2 to 7 GeV with a peak luminosity of 0.5 × 1035 cm−2·s−1 or higher. The STCF will produce a data sample about a factor of 100 larger than that of the present τ-charm factory — the BEPCII, providing a unique platform for exploring the asymmetry of matter-antimatter (charge-parity violation), in-depth studies of the internal structure of hadrons and the nature of non-perturbative strong interactions, as well as searching for exotic hadrons and physics beyond the Standard Model. The STCF project in China is under development with an extensive R&D program. This document presents the physics opportunities at the STCF, describes conceptual designs of the STCF detector system, and discusses future plans for detector R&D and physics case studies
Combined analysis of Belle and Belle II data to determine the CKM angle ϕ3 using B+ → D(h+h−)h+ decays
A bstract We present a measurement of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa unitarity triangle angle ϕ 3 (also known as γ ) using a model-independent Dalitz plot analysis of B + → D ( K S 0 h + h − ) h + , where D is either a D 0 or D ¯ 0 meson and h is either a π or K . This is the first measurement that simultaneously uses Belle and Belle II data, combining samples corresponding to integrated luminosities of 711 fb − 1 and 128 fb − 1 , respectively. All data were accumulated from energy-asymmetric e + e − collisions at a centre-of-mass energy corresponding to the mass of the Υ(4 S ) resonance. We measure ϕ 3 = (78 . 4 ± 11 . 4 ± 0 . 5 ± 1 . 0)°, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is the experimental systematic uncertainty and the third is from the uncertainties on external measurements of the D -decay strong-phase parameters

Using the full data sample of 980 collected with the Belle
detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy electron-positron collider, we report
the results of the first search for the rare semileptonic decays ( or . No significant signals are observed in
the invariant-mass distributions. Taking the decay as the normalization mode, we report 90\% credibility upper
limits on the branching fraction ratios and based on the phase-space assumption for signal decays. The 90\%
credibility upper limits on the absolute branching fractions of and
are found to be and , respectively.Comment: 8 pages, 4 figures, submitted to PR
