\mathfrak{gl}_2 foams and the Khovanov homotopy type

The Blanchet link homology theory is an oriented model of Khovanov homology, functorial over the integers with respect to link cobordisms. We formulate a stable homotopy refinement of the Blanchet theory, based on a comparison of the Blanchet and Khovanov chain complexes associated to link diagrams. The construction of the stable homotopy type relies on the signed Burnside category approach of Sarkar-Scaduto-Stoffregen

Dealing with moment measures via entropy and optimal transport

A recent paper by Cordero-Erausquin and Klartag provides a characterization of the measures μ\mu on Rd\R^d which can be expressed as the moment measures of suitable convex functions uu, i.e. are of the form (\nabla u)\_\\#e^{- u} for u:RdR{+}u:\R^d\to\R\cup\{+\infty\} and finds the corresponding uu by a variational method in the class of convex functions. Here we propose a purely optimal-transport-based method to retrieve the same result. The variational problem becomes the minimization of an entropy and a transport cost among densities ρ\rho and the optimizer ρ\rho turns out to be eue^{-u}. This requires to develop some estimates and some semicontinuity results for the corresponding functionals which are natural in optimal transport. The notion of displacement convexity plays a crucial role in the characterization and uniqueness of the minimizers

On the equation of motion of compact binaries in Post-Newtonian approximation

A third post-Newtonian (3 PN) equation of motion for two spherical compact stars in a harmonic coordinate has been derived based on the surface integral approach and the strong field point particle limit. The strong field point particle limit enables us to incorporate a notion of a self-gravitating regular star into general relativity. The resulting 3 PN equation of motion is Lorentz invariant, unambiguous, and conserves an energy of the binary orbital motion.Comment: 7 pages, no figure. Selection of sustainability indicators for health services in challenging environments: balancing scientific approach with political engagement.

Sustainability evaluation has become a key component of international health. However, evaluators have faced a number of challenges linked to the lack of consensus on the meaning of the concept of "sustainability". This paper aims to describe a methodology, the Sustainability Analysis Process, based on several conceptual frameworks and tested in five different countries in the physical rehabilitation sector. The methodology consists of five successive steps: (i) overview of the context; (ii) system boundary; (iii) consensus vision of sustainability, and derivation of stakeholder perspectives; (iv) selection of sustainability indicators and characterization and analysis of local system sustainability; and (v) verification and modification. The paper also discusses the place of the evaluator and researcher in the process: the methodology aims to help evaluators objectively measure the level of sustainability of a health system with the challenge of dealing with a subjective notion, the concept of sustainability, and a diversity of actors. The Sustainability Analysis Process also aims to capture the dynamics of systems by repeating the process on a regular basis. The methodology highlights the need for evaluators build consensus amongst stakeholders on a common vision of the future of a health system

Is dark matter an illusion created by the gravitational polarization of the quantum vacuum?

Assuming that a particle and its antiparticle have the gravitational charge of the opposite sign, the physical vacuum may be considered as a fluid of virtual gravitational dipoles. Following this hypothesis, we present the first indications that dark matter may not exist and that the phenomena for which it was invoked might be explained by the gravitational polarization of the quantum vacuum by the known baryonic matter.Comment: We have added an Appendix in order to show that the gravitational polarization of the quantum vacuum allows the understanding of the universality of the central surface density of galaxy dark matter haloes, the cored dark matter haloes in dwarf spheroidal galaxies, the non-existence of dark disks in spiral galaxies and distribution of dark matter after collision of clusters of galaxie
