    Research and conservation in Marina El-Alamein in the 2012 and 2013 seasons : the Polish-Egyptian conservation mission

    In 2012 and 2013 the program of activities of the Polish-Egyptian Conservation Mission to Marina el-Alamein included research and conservation in the public part of the ancient town, in the dwelling houses, and at the necropolis. The mission focused on continuing the research, conservation and exhibition in the area south of the Forum, where remains of Roman public baths that were in use from 2nd to 4th century, have survived. At the site of historical dwelling houses the current maintenance and conservation was carried out on a great scale. In 2013, in the necropolis the preservation of the mausoleum, marked on the plan as T21 was made. In addition the conservation of the mural paintings was undertaken
