Janina Ipohorska – język i styl, czyli specyfika porad Jana Kamyczka
The article deals with the style and language of Janina Ipohorska, who was the author of Jan Kamyczek’s Demokratyczny savoir‑vivre [Democratic savoir‑vivre] – advice column printed in „Przekrόj” magazine in the second half of the 20th century. An analysis of a selection of Jan Kamyczek’s advice from the 1960 issues
enabled recognition of the idiolectic features of Ipohorska’s language and identifying her distinctive style. The study also aimed at capturing the specificity of Jan Kamyczek’s advice on courtesy appropriate for various social occasions, showing the ingenuity of replies to letters from the readers, and sketching the
author of the column’s approach to etiquette. The article is, in a way, a reminder of the journalistic phenomenon and an attempt at bringing forth Janina Ipohorska’s personality through her individual language and style emerging from Demokratyczny savoir‑vivre
