Simulation of Supersymmetric Models with a Local Nicolai Map

We study the numerical simulation of supersymmetric models having a local Nicolai map. The mapping can be regarded as a stochastic equation and its numerical integration provides an algorithm for the simulation of the original model. EU labour market behaviour during the Great Recession

This paper provides an analysis of the labour market adjustment to the 2008-2009 recession in terms of employment, unemployment, hours worked and wages. It highlights differences in the response of employment and unemployment across countries and different socioeconomic groups. For all EU Member States, it provides evidence of the developments during the crisis of the monthly job finding and separation rates. This helps to assess whether the increase in unemployment is due to an increase of job separation or to a decline in the job finding rate. The paper discusses the risks of jobless growth and compares the dynamics of unemployment and employment across different periods. It provides evidence of an asymmetric response over the cycle, with recessions being characterised by more job destruction than by job creation in the following recoveries. The analysis of the wage dynamics during the recession suggests that there has been an adjustment in the compensation per employee led by the variable component; yet, this has not been sufficient to avoid the increase in the nominal unit labour costs due to labour hoarding.Unemployment, Workers' flows, job separation, job finding rate, Okun's law,

Morale of mental health professionals in Community Mental Health Services of a Northern Italian Province.

Publisher version: http://journals.cambridge.org/action/displayJournal?jid=EPSAIMS: To explore morale of psychiatrists and psychiatric nurses working in Community Mental Health Centres (CMHC) in an Italian Province, and identify influential factors. METHODS: Thirty psychiatrists and 30 nurses working in CMHCs in Modena completed questionnaires on burnout, team identity and job satisfaction. They also answered open questions about different aspects of their work. Answers were subjected to content analysis. Regression analyses were used to identify factors that predicted morale across groups. RESULTS: Psychiatrists had higher scores on emotional exhaustion and depersonalisation. There were no significant differences between the two groups in job satisfaction and job or role perception. Professionals reported positive relationships with patients as the most enjoyable aspects of their job, whilst team conflicts and high workloads were seen as most difficult to cope with. Multivariate analyses showed that being a psychiatrist and perceiving team conflicts as a main cause of pressure in the job predicted higher burnout. CONCLUSIONS: Simple open questions coupled with quantitative measures appear a promising tool to investigate morale of mental health professionals and identify factors determining morale. Research, training and service development should focus on relationship aspects both with patients and within teams to reduce burnout in CMHCs

El presente informe busca describir las principales actividades desarrolladas por uno de los alumnos de la Carrera de Ingeniería Civil durante la realización de la Práctica Profesional Supervisada (PPS). La misma fue llevada a cabo desde octubre a diciembre de 2017 en la consultora privada “IASA Ingeniería & Ambiente" y consistió en aplicar las competencias logradas durante el pasaje por la facultad en proyectos de índole profesional. La empresa se dedica a diseñar proyectos de saneamiento, con lo cual se emplearon mayormente los conocimientos técnico-profesionales obtenidos en la asignatura "Ingeniería Sanitaria". En este marco, fue de suma importancia emplear el criterio ingenieril en la toma de decisiones y manejar diferentes herramientas de software, aptitudes que se aprenden durante toda la carrera. El informe está dividido en dos secciones principales. Superfield approach to a novel symmetry for non-Abelian gauge theory

In the framework of superfield formalism, we demonstrate the existence of a new local, covariant, continuous and nilpotent (dual-BRST) symmetry for the BRST invariant Lagrangian density of a self-interacting two ($1 + 1$)-dimensional (2D) non-Abelian gauge theory (having no interaction with matter fields). The local and nilpotent Noether conserved charges corresponding to the above continuous symmetries find their geometrical interpretation as the translation generators along the odd (Grassmannian) directions of the four ($2 + 2)$-dimensional supermanifold.Comment: LaTeX, 12 pages, equations (4.2)--(4.6) correcte

One loop renormalization of the non-local gauge invariant operator min_U (A^U_mu)^2 in QCD

We compute the one loop anomalous dimension of the gauge invariant dimension two operator min_U (A^U_mu)^2, where U is an element of the gauge group, by exploiting Zwanziger's expansion of the operator in terms of gauge invariant non-local n leg operators. The computation is performed in an arbitrary linear covariant gauge and the cancellation of the gauge parameter in the final anomalous dimension is demonstrated explicitly. The result is equivalent to the one loop anomalous dimension of the local dimension two operator (A^a_mu)^2 in the Landau gauge.Comment: 8 latex page
