Economic and social disparities of Romania in regional and county profile

    Get PDF
Romania's accession to the European Union imposes a new way of approaching the economic and social disparities existing nowadays both at the level of the eight development regions of the country and at the level of counties as well. The analysis of the level and evolution of these disparities can be useful to all the factors that design and put into practice strategies meant to stop the gaps widening on one hand and to fill the existing gaps among the Romanian development regions on the other hand. All these analyses are made from the perspective of Romania's process of integration into the European Union's structures.convergence objective, development regions, economic disparities, EU cohesion, Principal Components Analysis.

THE ROLE OF RELATIONSHIP MARKETING ON INSURANCE MARKET DURING THE CRISIS PERIODS

    Get PDF
This paper is about a research regarding the implications of present economic crisis on a market created to cover various risks that could affect both individuals and companies. The main objective of the research was to establish the coordinates of the insurance market at the EU countries level in order to find solutions that insurance companies could use for avoiding the negative impact of the crisis and to re-launch the local insurance market. The outcomes of our research have shown a low development of Romanian insurance market, this one being among the lowest developed market in the European Union. Taking into consideration the psychological impact of the crashes recorded by the biggest worldwide insurers, the best solution for local companies is to use the tools of relationship marketing that could develop the confidence of customers in insurance services.insurance market, relationship marketing, direct sales, multilevel marketing, economic crisis

COORDINATES OF POSTAL SERVICES MARKET IN ROMANIA

    Get PDF
This paper contains a research regarding the actual status of Romanian postal services market both from legislative and economic point of view in the context of EU integration. The main objectives of this research were to identify the position of Romanian postal services among the EU member countries and to analyse the competitive environment on the local market in order to find future development strategies for the local companies. The outcomes of our research show a wrong position of Romanian postal sector both regarding the number of permanent offices and financial results of local competitors. The lateness of structural reforms could be a barrier for the future market liberalisation with serious consequences from the social point of view. In this context, a high implication of authorities is expected in order to ensure the adoption of EU regulation with a minimum of negative effects both for population and service providers

THE ROLE OF AUGMENTED REALITY IN DIGITAL MARKETING STRATEGY

    Get PDF
The online business environment is constantly changing and the companies have to adapt and find new ways in which they can reach and understand their customers. The increased penetration of Internet, extensive use of social media and the development of new technologies can present both opportunities and threats. This paper aims at presenting how the current status of digital business environment impacts the marketing strategy and how the implementation of Augmented Reality (AR) can help companies overcome the current challenges and gain competitive advantage

In the first years after 1989, due to changes in the ownership structure of seed trade liberalization, the production and marketing process of these deteriorated due to the importance of quality seeds in increasing the agriculture production.A strategy for improving the legislation was created to stimulate the production ofseeds in accordance with the european union (Carrere P. et al., 1995; Moga I. et al.,1996)

THE OPPORTUNITY OF USING AUGMENTED REALITY IN E DUCATING DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN

    Get PDF
The high degree of absenteeism and the increased risk of school dropout among vulnerable children is one of the main issues of the current society. This study seeks to identify the opportunity to use Augmented Reality in the education of these children, starting with the trend of recent years in which IT technology is capturing the interest of children more and more compared to classical teaching methods. Research results show that, in the opinion of psycho-educators, Augmented Reality is an accessible technology that can be used to increase the attractiveness of the educational process for children belonging to vulnerable groups

New Dynamic Balancing System Based on Magnetic Interaction and Software Removal of some Perturbations

    Get PDF
The purpose of this paper is to present a new type of dynamic balancing system, having a driving solution of the rotating part based on magnetic interactions. The magnetic system also plays the role of an elastic bearing. In the first part of the article is presented the technical solution which allows the dynamic balancing evaluation depending on the radial displacement between two disks with permanent magnets, creating a magnetic coupling. It is presented the results obtained on the experimental way, that validated both the numerical simulation as well as the analytic calculation. Using a 2D model, the resultant magnetic force was analytically calculated, whose value depends on the misalignment of the balanced part, against the equilibrium position. Due to the specific geometry, to validate the 2D analytical calculation model, it was necessary to create a FEM model of the magnetic system. A simulation was performed to evaluate the dependence between the radial displacements and the magnetic forces. It was used a 3D simulation software, specific for these kind of problems - the INFOLYTICA software. The final results show that there is a similarity between 2D analytical calculation model, 3D simulation and practical measurements. In the second part of the article it is presented a practical application for this type of balancing system, used to build a two plane dynamic balancing machine for cardan shafts. It is also shown how it can be eliminated the disturbing unbalance introduced by the clamping system of the balanced part using a software method

    Xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis: presentation and management

    Get PDF
Xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis (XGP) is characterized by the presence of lipid-laden foamy macrophages with both acute and chronic phase inflammatory cells. The aim of the study is to present our experience about patients with Xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis. 29 patients were evaluated through a complete anamnesis and the preoperative management included routine blood and biochemical tests, urine culture and renal ultrasound, intravenous urography and computed tomography (CT). All patients underwent open nephrectomy followed by the pathological exam. The main symptoms of these patients were fever and flank pain. Preoperative laboratory tests revealed anemia, leukocytosis and increasing levels of blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and creatinine. Kidney failure was noticed in almost half of the cases. This study succeeded to evaluate the demographic, clinical, biological, surgical and histological characteristics. A pathological diagnosis is mandatory mainly for the evaluation of its coexistence with renal carcinoma

Experimental and Computing Methods to Determine the External Surface Temperature of the Gun Barrel

    Get PDF
The need to determine the small arms weapon system barrel temperature under a variety of conditions makes modelling and simulation a good alternative to the expensive real tests. Therefore, in a unique way, this paper includes three alternatives to assess the external surface temperature in order to better understand the balance between the chosen calculation method accuracy and the computed time. For numerical simulations, the initial conditions were established based on STANREC 4367 thermodynamic interior ballistic model. The heat transfer was solved for One-Dimensional and Two-Dimensional model using the finite difference discretisation method, with code written in Matlab. The Three-Dimensional model was resolved by finite element analysis method in Ansys. The simulations results are validated by means of the results obtained in case of two real firing scenarios. During the field testing, a new detection method based on shockwaves microphones was used in order to exactly establish the moment of each shoot and to precisely observe the temperature evolution on barrel surface
