Multiplicative Dirac structures on Lie groups

We study multiplicative Dirac structures on Lie groups. We show that the characteristic foliation of a multiplicative Dirac structure is given by the cosets of a normal Lie subgroup and, whenever this subgroup is closed, the leaf space inherits the structure of a Poisson-Lie group. Linear and multiplicative 2-forms

We study the relationship between multiplicative 2-forms on Lie groupoids and linear 2-forms on Lie algebroids, which leads to a new approach to the infinitesimal description of multiplicative 2-forms and to the integration of twisted Dirac manifolds.Comment: to appear in Letters in Mathematical Physic

Flexor hallucis longus. A cadaveric study of its distal insertion

Objective: Describe flexor hallucis longus (FHL) distal insertion. Methods: Ten cadaver feet were dissected to evaluate FHL distal insertion, the width of insertion, and the distance between insertion borders and medial-lateral phalangeal borders. Results: All specimens showed a lateral tendon fascicle inserted more lateral and distal than the main insertion. The mean lateral and medial insertion distance to the phalangeal border was 3 mm and 5.2 mm. The FHL long axis was 12.36% laterally deviated at the metatarsophalangeal (MTP) joint and 14.07% at the interphalangeal (IP) joint. Conclusion: The FHL has a closer insertion to the lateral phalanx border, and its long-axis midpoint is laterally located in relation to the IP and MTP joint. Destructive fishing : an expert‐driven definition and exploration of this quasi‐concept

Numerous policy and international frameworks consider that “destructive fishing” hampers efforts to reach sustainability goals. Though ubiquitous, “destructive fishing” is undefined and therefore currently immeasurable. Here we propose a definition developed through expert consultation: “Destructive fishing is any fishing practice that causes irrecoverable habitat degradation, or which causes significant adverse environmental impacts, results in long-term declines in target or nontarget species beyond biologically safe limits and has negative livelihood impacts.” We show strong stakeholder support for a definition, consensus on many biological and ecological dimensions, and no clustering of respondents from different sectors. Our consensus definition is a significant step toward defining sustainable fisheries goals and will help interpret and implement global political commitments which utilize the term “destructive fishing.” Our definition and results will help reinforce the Food and Agricultural Organization's Code of Conduct and meaningfully support member countries to prohibit destructive fishing practices

Corrupción entre particulares

Tesis. Magíster en responsabilidad penal de los negocios y de la empresa.El objetivo del presente trabajo está dirigido a realizar un análisis del delito de corrupción entre particulares, fenómeno que se encuentra muy presente en la sociedad actual, donde lo encontramos cada vez mas presente en el ámbito de los negocios. En una primera parte abordaré aspectos generales sobre el fenómeno de la corrupción, analizando los efectos que este delito provoca en la sociedad actual, principalmente efectos asociados a los negocios como puede ser desequilibro en la competencia en los mercados. Posteriormente, analizaré legislaciones del derecho comparado las cuales regulan el delito de corrupción entre particulares en la legislación comparada. Para ello, revisaré cuerpos normativos como el Código Penal Español y Alemán, y de esa forma tener una mirada de cómo ambas legislaciones hacen frente a la corrupción en el ámbito privado. Por ultimo, analizare el Proyecto de Ley impulsado en Chile con la finalidad de hacer frente a un fenómeno creciente en nuestra sociedad, y que requiere de una regulación que se ajuste a las necesidades actuales
