Pressurized irrigation
In approx. 2 000 000 ha in the South of
C贸rdoba (Argentina) was evaluated the performance
of the irrigation equipments, the
way they are operated and employed, the
degree of uniformity they work and the
efficiency of irrigation obtained by the
farmers. There were 21 evaluations of
equipments operating according to the
irrigation program established by the
owners, 14 on pivots, 1 on lateral move, 4
rollers (3 for gun sprinkler and 1 with low
pressure) and 2 side roll.
The parameters of the quality of
irrigation show values of uniformity
coefficient of 81.4 % with a uniformity of
distribution of 73.23 %. The 80 % of the cases
present a applied depth between 10
and 20 mm with a average value of 17 mm.
Based on the obtained values, it can be
assumed that -in general- the surface
assigned to each of the equipments, is
always larger than its capacity to replace
soil water adequately. Although the
uniformity coefficient and water distribution
can be considered acceptable, the most
important aspect that highlights this study
is the bad irrigation scheduling in all the
evaluated farms, stated in the low efficiency
of soil water storage that affects directly the
production of the irrigated crops.Fil: Puiatti, Juan M. P..Fil: Crespi, Ra煤l Jes煤s.Fil: Rivetti, Ana Rosa
Productive response towards different programs of wheath irrigation : semi-arid region of C贸rdoba, Argentina
Dentro de los tratamientos bajo riego, en los dos primeros a帽os se obtuvieron valores significativamente menores en las parcelas regadas s贸lo entre macollaje y grano lechoso: 4704 kg.ha-1 en 1999 y 4973 kg.ha-1 en el 2000.Taking into account, the regional evaluation of irrigation with pressurised equipment, it can be observed an inappropriate use of irrigation programs, what is more, most of the farms do not make use of irrigation programs based on water necessities, generating an inadequate use of water resources. For that reason in the present work the production of wheat (Triticum estivum L.) under programmed irrigation is evaluated considering climatesoil- plant variables. The experience was developed in the experimental field of the National University of R铆o Cuarto during 1999, 2000 and 2001, with meteorological station installed in the field. The statistical design was made at random in plots with six repetitions. The treatments were: 1. no irrigation; 2. replenish water all vegetative cycle, from incipient wilting to field capacity; 3. replenish water from incipient wilting to a level that allows the advantage of the rainwater with 75 % of occurrence probability; 4. with optimal initial water soil level, and irrigation only in the rest of the cycle between growth stage of tillering and milk stage; 5. considering the model of programming YACU. The results of these experiments in the three years considered show that there was a significant response to complementary irrigation. The average production of irrigate treatments was 4980 kg.ha-1 in 1999, 5895 kg.ha-1 in 2000 and 6271 kg.ha-1 in 2001 in opposition to 3296 kg.ha-1, 4054 kg/.ha-1 and 3197 kg.ha-1 for the no irrigated treatments. Within the treatments under irrigation, significantly smaller yields were obtained in the plots irrigated between tillering and milk stage, 4704 kg.ha-1 in 1999 and 4973 kg.ha-1 in 2000.Fil: Puiatti, Juan M.
