Using virtual instrumentation in the application study of electronic devices

    Get PDF
Continuous technological developments require proper training of future specialists through the use of modern training systems. This paper presented in detail both hardware and software structures in a laboratory stand for interactive training of future professionals in the fields related to using electronic devices. Virtual instrumentation is the basics of these applications in terms of data acquisition, processing, and display in a form as explicit and easy to understand of the results. The entire system was created using National Instruments equipment to generate the input stimulus signals to generate both input signals and receive response signals. For various electronic circuits or devices, software applications were created in the LabView graphics development environment. Builds in the form of interactive applications the virtual instruments offer the opportunity for future professionals to benefit from a complete training starting from studying the theoretical part of laboratory work, visualizing the implementation schemes, and making measurements that are then used to make different analyses of results

    Topic Classification for Short Texts

    Get PDF
In the context of TV and social media surveillance, constructing models to automate topic identification of short texts is key task. This paper formalizes the topic classification as a top-K multinomial classification problem and constructs worth-to-consider models for practical usage. We describe the full data processing pipeline, discussing about dataset selection, text preprocessing, feature extraction, model selection and learning, including hyperparameter optimization. When computing time and resources are limited, we show that a classical model like SVM performs as well as an advanced deep neural network, but with shorter model training time

Motility parameters of equine epididymal spermatozoa after 24 hours intra-epididymal exposure to lidocaine using two commercial extenders

Epididymal spermatozoa is the last source for gamete rescue in case of emergency castration or sudden death of a valuable stallion, thus an ideal harvesting and preservation technique should be employed. Routinely, 2% lidocaine intraparenchymatous administration is used to provide analgesia prior to castration, but studies on the effect of lidocaine on epididymal spermatozoa motility parameters are limited. The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of lidocaine on equine epididymal spermatozoa, after 24 hours intraepididymal cool storage using two commercial extenders. We hypothesized that intraepididymal prolonged exposure to lidocaine, might affect motility parameters of epididymal stallion spermatozoa and that different extenders might have an impact. Sperm was collected from 20 epididymides of routinely castrated 3 year old KWPN stallions. 4 stallions received 10 ml 2% lidocaine intraparenchymatous 10 minutes prior to castration and 6 stallions were not medicated. Testicles were transported to an equipped facility and cooled stored for 24 hours. From each sample an aliquot was diluted in a commercial egg yolk based extender, and another in a commercial extender containing defined milk proteins. Motility parameters were registered 30 minutes after dilution, computer assisted. There were no statistical differences between motility parameters of spermatozoa exposed to lidocaine and spermatozoa not exposed, however progressive motility and linearity significantly differed among the two extenders

Industrial area environmental monitoring based on transducers with MODBUS communication

    No full text
The monitoring of environmental parameters in industrial areas where potential sources of pollution exist is very important from the point of view of prevention of environmental accidents. In this paper, we propose a solution for the monitoring of the environmental parameters with the local acquisition through specific environmental and movement sensors and data transmission to a higher hierarchical level through the use of MODBUS communications. A flexible hardware structure and software development concept are presented to offer local information and to be integrated into an environmental quality monitoring network

This article discusses about what the communication process means for the humanity. We try to explain how important the communication process is in our society. We try also to explain the mechanism of building bridges between different elements of the society and the implications of the communication in this process, and also in the development of interpersonal relations in the society. This article is an opportunity to understand the developing of the communication process area, and to know how to develop specific behaviors using the communication.</p
