Impacto de la Revista UIS Ingenierías en la base bibliográfica Scopus: 2013-2018

This editorial note presents an analysis of citations received by papers published in the Revista UIS Ingenierías (RUI), from documents indexed in the Scopus bibliographic database, during the period 2013-2018. The information was collected through advanced searches by operators, classification, treatment and statistical interpretation of data. This analysis allowed identifying the impact of RUI on the Scopus bibliographic base and the geographical distribution of the authors who cite the Revista UIS Ingenierías, from the documents indexed in that base. The results of the exercise shown in this editorial letter show that in recent years the Revista UIS Ingenierías has positioned itself as a source of dissemination of relevant scientific knowledge.En esta nota editorial se presenta un análisis de las citas recibidas por los artículos publicados en la Revista UIS Ingenierías (RUI), desde documentos indexados en la base bibliográfica Scopus, durante el periodo 2013-2018. La información se recolectó mediante búsquedas avanzadas por operadores, clasificación, tratamiento e interpretación estadística de datos. Este análisis permitió identificar el impacto de RUI en la base bibliográfica Scopus y distribución geográfica de los autores que citan a la Revista UIS Ingenierías, desde los documentos indexados en esa base. Los resultados del ejercicio que se muestra en esta carta editorial evidencian que en los últimos años la Revista UIS Ingenierías se ha ido posicionando como una fuente de difusión del conocimiento científico relevante
