Pengembangan Model Micro Teaching Calon Guru di Sekolah Tinggi Pastoral Santo Agustinus Keuskupan Agung Pontianak

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana pengembangan model micro teaching calon guru di Sekolah Tinggi Pastoral Santo Agustinus Keuskupan Agung Pontianak? Dengan tujuan untuk menemukan model micro teaching yang dapat digunakan dalam pemecahan masalah lokal di Sekolah Tinggi Pastoral Santo Agustinus Keuskupan Agung Pontianak. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan model di Sekolah Tinggi Pastoral Santo Agustinus Keuskupan Agung Pontianak. Instrument utaman penelitiannya adalah penulis, dibantu dengan alat perekam, lembar observasi, dan daftar pertanyaan wawancara. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriftif kualitatif. Dari penelitian tersebut dihasilkan sebuah model pembelajaran micro teaching, yaitu Model Core Teaching sandard yang mengacu pada pembelajaran konstruktivistik. Teaching Descriptive Text Writing By Using Attribute Listing To Smk

The aim of this research is to investigate the effectiveness of teaching descriptive text writing by using attribute listing technique to the tenth grade students of Marketing program of SMK Negeri 3 Pontianak in academic year 2014/2015. This research was done by conducting a pre experimental study which consists of pretest, posttest and three times of treatments. The sample of this research is class X Marketing 2 and the total of the students is 34. The data had been collected by measurements techniques. The tool of data collecting was writing test. The finding of the research showed that the mean score of students' pretest was 51.12 while the posttest was 76.18. The students' achievement was increased by the different score between pretest and posttest was 25.03. The was higher than the (16.69>2.042 at α 5%). The result of the effect size (ES) was 2.86. It means that teaching descriptive text writing by using attribute listing technique to the tenth grade students of Marketing Program of SMK Negeri 3 Pontianak is categorized as highly effective with the Effect Size (ES) > 0.8 (2.86 > 0.8)

Using 3-2-1 Strategy in Reading Comprehension to Improve Students' Involvement in Active Learning

The classroom action research of using 3-2-1 strategy aims to reveal the problem of students reading comprehension and their involvement in learning activities. Triangulation approach was administered as the technique of data analysis. The used of field note, student and teacher observation sheet, focus group interviews and student achievement test are instruments of data collection.Having conductedthree cycles of action research, the researcher found out that the improvement from cycle to cycle did not only occur to teaching practice but also to the students' involvement and the students' ability. 3-2-1 strategy facilitated students to be active learners to do inquiry and constructor of understanding the reading through teacher directed task and activities.Students did not only find information and engage their own interest and knowledge from the readingbut alsothey constructed their understandingby linking their current knowledge with their background knowledge

Teaching Reading Comprehension on Narrative Text by Using Powerpoint Animations

Email: [email protected] Abstract: This Research aimed to answer the research questions about the significant and the size effect of the use of PowerPoint Animations in teaching reading comprehension on narrative text. This research used a pre-experimental study in one group pretest posttest design. The data of this research were collected by using measurement technique that was written test in the form of essay test numbering 10 items. The population of this research was the Second Year students of SMA Negeri 1 Kembayan in Academic Year 2012/2013 numbering 106 students. The sample of this research was 30 students (class XI IPA 1). The finding of this research showed that PowerPoint Animations increased the students\u27 achievement in reading comprehension significantly. Then, the effect size of treatment (ES= 1.34 > 0.8) and categorized as highly effective. Key words: Teaching Reading Comprehension, Narrative, PowerPoint Animations. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian mengenai signifikan dan tingkat efektifitas dari penggunaan animasi powerpoint dalam pengajaran pemahaman membaca di dalam teks naratif. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi pre-eksperimen dengan disain satu grup pretest posttest. Data penelitian ini didapatkan dengan menggunakan teknik pengukuran yaitu tes tertulis dalam bentuk essai berjumlah 10 soal. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa tahun ke dua dari SMA Negeri 1 Kembayan tahun ajaran 2012/2013 berjumlah 160 siswa. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 30 siswa (kelas XI IPA). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa powerpoint animasi meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam pemahaman membaca secara signifikan. Identification Students' Difficulties In Writing Hortatory Exposition Among High Intermediate Level

This research aims to identify students' difficulties in writing hortatory exposition text at high intermediate level in Gajahmada English course. The method used is a descriptive study. The sample of the study is 10 students at high intermediate level of Gajahmada English course. The tool of data collecting was a written test that the students wrote hortatory exposition text. The finding showed the average of students' score is “60.2” which is categorize “Difficult”. In grammar, students difficulties in arranging the tense and the compound-complex sentences. In mechanic, students difficulties in spelling, punctuation and word choice. In vocabulary, students difficulties in using of personal noun, abstract noun, general noun, action verb, verb, adverb and adjectives. In content, students able wrote the text, but their difficulties on the relevant details among thesis, arguments and recommendation. Keywords: Identification, students' difficulties, hortatory exposition Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi kesulitan siswa menulis teks hortatory exposition pada level high intermediate di bimbingan belajar Gajahmada. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Peserta penelitian adalah siswa bimbingan belajar Gajahmada level high intermediate, terdapat 10 peserta sebagai sampel. Alat mengumpulkan data yaitu sebuah tes tertulis, yakni siswa menulis teks hortatori exposisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata nilai 60,2 dikategorikan “sulit”. Struktur bahasa, siswa kesulitan menyusun struktur kalimat dan penggunaan kalimat majemuk setara – bertingkat. Mekanisme penulisan, siswa kesulitan dalam ejaan, tanda baca, dan pilihan kata. Kosakata, siswa kesulitan menggunaan kata ganti orang, kata ganti abstrak, kata benda umum, kata kerja, kata keterangan, kata sifat. Teaching Descriptive Text Writing By Using Powerpoint Presentation

This research is focused on teaching descriptive text writing by using PowerPoint Presentation. The aim of this research is to know the effectiveness of teaching descriptive text writing by using PowerPoint Presentation to the seventh grade students of MTsN 1 Pontianak in the academic year 2011/2012. It is a pre-experimental study where the form used is one group of pretest and posttest design. The population in this research was all the seventh grade students of MTsN 1 Pontianak in academic year 2011/2012. It involved 32 students from class VIIB as the research subjects. The data were collected by written test and analyzed by ES (Effect Size) formula. The finding show the effect size of treatment (ES) is 2.64. Since the value is higher than 0.5, the effect size of treatments (ES) is categorized as highly efective. It means that teaching descriptive text writing by using PowerPoint Presentation to the seventh grade students of MTsN 1 Pontianak in academic year 2011/2012 gave a significant effect to improve the students achievement

The purpose of this research is to find the cultural content and context in the textbook “When English Rings A Bell”. The method of this research is content analysis. There was one type of tool of colecting data in content analysis the researcher used matrix in cultural category based on malay culture perspective and interviewed the owner of Malay culture to get the information in source culture. The study finds that The books present mostly the source culture (Indonesian Culture) in comparison to target culture and International culture. This ratio is quite ideal as English is taught as a Foreign Language thus English textbook in Indonesian context are aimed at focusing more on local content while introducing the learners to the target culture and International. An Analysis Of Students' Perception Towards Stand-up Comedy In Speaking Spoof Monologue

This research was aimed to know the students' perception towards stand-up comedy in speaking spoof monologue. The method of research was descriptive study. The subjects of research were the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Pontianak in academic year 2013/2014.The data were collected by indirect and direct communication technique, whereas the tools used in collecting the data werequestionnaire and interview. The findings showed that the students had positive and negative perceptions towards stand-up comedy in speaking spoof monologue. Moreover, there was relationship between students' performance score and students' perception. The students who got high score tended to have positive perception. Vice versa, the students who got low score tended to have negative perception.In conclusion, students' positive perceptions were higher than students' negative perception so that stand-up comedy could be a consideration to be used in speaking class because of the students' positive perception
